I havent posted on here for a while and I couldn't find a helpful thread as first glance.
Anyway as I said DS is 20mth and he has always slept 8pm - 8am with little fuss. But for the past month or so he has been waking earlier, this mornign it was 6am. He still naos during the day and can't last until 8pm without one, it is currently from about 1pm - 3pm. He never wakes up on his own accord and is always grumpy. I am sure he would sleep till about 5pm given the chance.
I am not sure how much sleep is needed at this ages so any advice is welcome.

TIA, Jodie x

maybe try and cut down his nap by 1/2 an hour? Also, is his room dark? Mine are waking up earlier as the days and their rooms get lighter. Does he get breakfast immediately on wake up? I solved DS1 early waking by delaying his breakfast by 30 mins, which then meant his stomach wasn't waking him up so much. According to Tanya Bryon, sleep drops off to about 12-13 hours a day by 2, and certainly my DS2, who is now the same age as yours, will go 7.30 till 7, and then have 1 hour nap, sometimes less. Hope this helps.

Thank you snipersmum, he has a black out blind in his room but the sun does rise that side so it may be because of the light i'm not sure.
He does have his breakfast within about 10mins of getting up after him bum is done. I never thought of delaying it a bit, thats a good idea but his belly is always on him mind!! lol
I will see how he copes with his nap cut down slightly, I hope it helps.

Thanks a lot I really appreciate your advice,
Jodie x
