Lunch time nap: what age?

Just wondered what age your little ones started having a long lunchtime nap? DD is 14 weeks and sleeps for 45-ish minutes every 2-ish hours... no sign of anything more lengthy yet!

DS is coming up for seven months and only just started having a long nap at lunch time. He's still on three naps per day.

DD probably started on one three hour lunchtime nap at about 11 months.

By 6 months the long lunch nap kicks in.

Google the 234 routine. Worked a dream for me personally

DS is nearly 19 weeks and still on 3 naps a day here, sometimes 4. He has a short sleep in the morning around 2 hours after waking (30-45 mins), a bit of a longer sleep after lunch (45mins-1hr, very occasionally 1hr30) and then a 5pm catnap (30mins) to get him through to bedtime at 7. I am expecting him to drop the 5pm catnap soon, he has already started resisting it on a few days, but I think he'll still need 2 naps for a long while yet.

DS is 10 months and has two naps, probably about an hour each depending on what we're doing. He has had a couple of longer ones but only on my lap.

Still waiting for this at nearly 1. Usually has two naps of 40-60 minutes. Occasionally sleeps for 2-3 hrs but it's so rare I never know when it will happen, and end up just waiting for him to wake!

It was around 12/13 months here. Before that DD had a morning and afternoon nap.

My 15 wo is exactly the same. 45mins, almost to the minute, after 2hrs of being awake. This last week he still seems sleepy after 2hrs, but takes longer to go down, so sometimes awake for 2.5/almost 3hrs. (I've got a thread on the go about leaving him to settle at the moment) I'm thinking of holding off from putting him in his cot for an extra 15 mins once he shows the sleepy signs. Very occasionally he'll do a 2hr stint, but it's really rare, and a bit of shock. Also v annoying as I could've had a damn good nap in that time, but haven't as I expected him to wake up after 45mins!

He is at the moment having a nap....he did 45mins, I went in at 40 mins, watched until he stirred, put his dummy in, rocked his tummy very gently and he's gone off again, so far for another 20 mins. Maybe that might work? to help him get through to the next sleep cycle?
