When did you drop the nap? How did you know it was time?

I have twins who will be 3 in a couple months. They have about 1.5hr nap each day but lately haven't been settling at night until almost 10pm! It's been going on for about a month now with bedtime getting later and later. The last two days I have tried to keep them awake all day, which is a struggle they get very tired and cranky and sometimes doze off, but they go to bed at 7-7.30 easily and sleep until 7am.

Is it time to drop the nap? Are they old enough to not need one? What age did your kids stop napping?

I remember that ten o clock bed times stage! I think you just have to see what works for you. I dropped the nap when mine just wasn't going off most days. Limiting naps worked for us for some perods too but then went through a period when he would just go back to sleep again on the floor wherever! Ten o clock doesn't sound to bad tbh we also went through a stage of no nap but going to sleep at five on sofa then up for hours in the night to be avoided!

I'd say now. My 3 year old was never a very regular napper but from 2.5 if he had one passed about 1pm he was up till 10pm. Nowadays any kind of nap, even 10 minutes, means a late night. If tired he has a bit of quiet time in front of TV which also invigorates.

I would try cutting it to 45 mins first and see if that helps.

My dd dropped her nap a few months before her 3rd birthday.

I'd say cut it to one hour, and wake them up at 2pm latest. That works fine for my DS, who's the same age. He then starts his bath at 7, and is asleep by 8.
