Hi! I was just looking for a little advice here.
I've read that it's not advisable to allow baby to sleep in the car seat or the bouncer, but the boy (he's 6 weeks) goes down, and to sleep, on his own in the vibrating bouncer chair. I take him upstairs in that and let him carry on sleeping until he wakes up in the night for a feed. I try to have him sleep on his back after this, but it's hit and miss whether he'll go to sleep or start yelling. He pretty much spends most of the day (if we're home all day) in the bouncer, too.
I've tried propping him up a little more in the cot, I have a wedge to keep him up, but it hasn't made much of a difference, I've used a sleep positioner (albeit a flat one) on top of that which keeps him in position but his top half up a little more. No avail. He'll only go to sleep on his back if he's in a particular mood.
How bad is it really to let him sleep and relax in the bouncer? Is there anything I can do to make it better?
