Hello mums

My nearly 8m/o daughter last week starting monday i let me daughter nap after 6 which is usually fine for us she will usually still stay in her routine but that night she didnt go to bed til 1 but woke up screaming at 4 nor a bottle or dummy would settle her and i had to get up, the next day it happened again sleep at 1 woke up at 4 so the wednesday i didnt let her nap after 6pm and she went to bed at her usual time but still woke up at 4-5 screaming? she never wakes up at this time she wakes at 9.30 usually

So it came to Friday night (the start of my weekend off night feeds) so i was getting giddy for sleep and kind of wanted my partner to get abit of the crap but she was fast on by 9 woke up twice for bottle (1am and 5am) straight back to sleep no worries,

i was angry as she had been a bad sleeper all week and brilliant for dad but i thought on the other hand least shes sleeping in normal routine again, NOPE! soon back to monday night and she woke up at 1 screaming and woke up at 5 screaming taking about an hour to calm her each time

i look after her all day and night through the week while dad does night shifts so why is she doing this, does she know its my night to look after her? its like shes doing this on purpose, i know shes not but when your deprived of sleep your brain thinks all sorts

i dont know if im asking for help or just wanting to express how angry i am, i unfortunately hope that someone has gone through the same dilema sad

My 16mo boy goes to sleep better for my partner and I can't get him to go down for any naps at the moment, it's so hard. But when the weekend comes he'll be a good boy and go down for a nap for his daddy. So frustrating! Just wanted to let you know we're going through it to.

Is there anything different to the weekend day time routine than during the week? It could be the timing of the week rather than Daddy putting her sleep.
Are the weekends more relaxed or more hectic than during the week? Could she be getting to over tired in the week meaning she's struggling to sleep

What is her daytime routine like?

My little girl always slept straight through for daddy.... Never for me.... However not sure how much was she slept through or he did! wink

In honesty I think I hear her every murmur, gurgle, little cry. And I would probably go the the little cries, whereas daddy would only hear full on screaming.... (Daddy only looks after nightshirt when I am away)

I wonder the same as uhoh, is the weekend routine different to the weekday. More outside activities? Different nap schedules? Later bedtime or milk times? Also I think they can be more fussy for one parent than another, so if you went to her at the weekend she might fuss too, but for daddy she will go straight off... In a few weeks it will flip, she'll sleep for you and not for him!
