Hi there
I am new to the site and joined to hopefully get some advice along the line!! My first (but probably not my last!!) issue is daytime napping.
My daughter is 7 months old and has been pretty much sleeping through from 4 weeks old. However, she is still at the side of my bed and needs nursing to sleep.
During the day she likes 2-3 sleeps but will only sleep whilst being held. I can't get anything done because she's demanding of your presence whilst she is awake. I have read up on the controlled crying and am currently trying to get her to sleep in her own room during the day. She has been crying for over 2 hours even though I keep going up as advised to reassure her I'm there. I'm worried that I will knock the nighttime routine by trying this?? Also how long should I leave her before saying enough is enough? This is only day 1!
Any tips/advice would be welcomed!!
Cheers
