Sleep

Struggling with early rising

I have Ds2 who is 19 months and DS1 is 4.5yrs.

DS2 has just this last month started sleeping through (a miracle considering he was waking and breastfeeding every 2-3 hours until now). But then, he would be put back to sleep with a feed around 5 ish and sleep until 645-7ish. Now he sleeps through but wakes at 5am - 5.30 at the latest. I know it's a huge improvement... But now he is waking up Ds1 who desperately needs more sleep as he is in reception and ridiculously tired. Needless to say he won't go back to sleep at that time of day. Historically he always woke around 6.30-645 which is fine. We have tried everything to keep Ds2 quiet - generally he comes into our bed and has a long breast feed and some books or TV, but still Ds1 wakes up.

Part of me feels 530 wake ups are par for the course, but with Ds1 to consider (he is really, really struggling with tiredness) I feel I should try and do something about it.

At the moment DS2 has a nap for 1.5-2 hrs at about 1230, and both boys go to bed at 6.30-6.45 - they are both asleep by 7pm.

How can I make them sleep later?! Thanks in asvance
