What's your favourite lullaby cd?

Just that really, which baby lullaby cd do you actually like listening to, that also helps your baby sleep?

I've started playing one in the background for ds2 at bedtime so that the noise by ds1 and dd blends in, rather than startles him awake. Seems to be working so far, but am rather fed up of baby Einstein lullabies Grin a change would be nice, think we got it 8 years ago for ds1!

Really? Grin did you used to play it in utero??? They do say they recognise music that way. The wall?? Dark side of the moon?? I must dig through our collection!

Our favourite came with an us borne lullabies book it's lovely, about 20 mins long - then when that finishes the playlist I set up moves to classical lullabies for babies which is a much longer set Both are instrumental which I prefer in the background

I stay holding hand until a certain track, so if I'm in a hurry I just skip to that one!

the lullaby version of some Radiohead songs. They do lots of other bands/singers as well, but the Radiohead is lovely

Thanks I will check Amazon. I have the player on the landing so it is right now drowning out dd hiccuping and her dropping the bubble bath in the bath whilst putting her toothpaste back (I'm guessing from the noise Grin ) ds2 hasnt flinched so far whilst feeding.

Cd is much better for my nerves than the constant shushing, it's really helping him get used to background noise as it just blends in and isn't as noticeable. A couple of the baby Einstein tracks are a bit annoying lively for me though.

The Rockabye Baby CDs are great, and they're available by track on iTunes. I like the GnR one, and Coldplay. Can't remember what else we had.

I just have a wave sound copied about 1000to a usb.
This was accidental as I use to just leave the radio on but it became wave sounds in the night.but then that started playing operas at night so I needed something else.

Not a CD but on those occasions when toddler DD really won't sleep and is going a bit crazy, these gorgeous lullaby videos calm her down.

Turkish Lullaby

Oh no! The sound has been muted for copyright reasons! How will I get DD to sleep on those kind of nights now?!

Phew! Here it is.

It's called Lullaby and its traditional lullabies sung by the woman who sang with Zero 7. DD still has it in every night at 5.5yo. If you put Lullaby CD into Amazon it's the first that comes up.

Wow that version repeats for an hour of video on that! Not suggestion you watch it for that long! Someone else's child must love it as much as us!

Thanks RiverTam :) Which other ones are your favourites? We particularly love the French, African, Greek and Swedish ones although we're yet to discover them all!

There's an amazing one called The Planet Sleeps, our (music industry, and a bit bonkers) friend made it - he travelled around the world and collated traditional lullabies sung in native languages, it's really beautiful.
