Dd has always been a good sleeper (unlike dd1). She's always tired quickly and needed a lot of sleep. Until the last week or so she has had 2-2.5 hrs if day sleep (as 1 or 2 naps) and at least 12 hours at night, usually 12.5-13). All of a sudden she is only napping 1.5hrs in the dat St the max and 10.5-11 hrs at night. This is a big change, from 14 or more hours a day to about 12. She's also much more moany and gets cross/upset easily cos she is tired.

Does anyone have advise or ideas at all?
Thanks

"wskibgcearly" Grin. I just spent a couple of minutes trying to get my mouth around saying that!

If this is a sudden and unexpected change, then I would suggest this is just a temporary blip. Maybe it is the heat? Maybe she is poorly or teething? Maybe she's not drinking enough in the hot weather. There are lots of possibilities of things that will soon pass. It will probably go back to normal as quickly as it started.

My ds had a sleep regression around this age. I think his nap was okay but he was a nightmare to settle, woke frequently and was up early (he was always an early riser though). Maybe she's just getting used to one nap? What time does she have this? Or it could be the heat?

Sorry I'm not much help- we decided to just ride it out in our case, co sleeping as needed. It was bad for a month, then improved over next month or two til he was back to normal.

Thank u. Hopefully just a phase. Oh yes sorry about the title. It's my big fat fingers plus me not checking. Should obviously say waking early. Ha ha!

5.45 today but she did go back off at some point and is asleep now. I think she was awake just laying there for about an hour but she was content which is fine. Didn't expect Her to go back off tho! Maybe she'll realise she's still tired. Ha ha!
