When to start making bedtime routine earlier

At the moment 5wo has her bath around 8.30 followed by a feed then she goes down in her Moses basket in the living room with us (lights dimmed, TV turned down). We take her through with us when we go to bed, usually 10pm. She is really good at going to sleep herself within half an hour of going down then tends to wake for feed (bf) at 10.30-11, 3.00 & 5.30 If we're lucky she'll go back down again until 7-7.15 but sometimes not. When she's a bit older we plan to put her down in our room with the monitor on after her bath/feed (live in a flat so bedroom isn't far away). At what point should we be trying to establish an earlier bath time? She definitely tends to nap more in the late afternoon/evening but daytime naps are not routine yet. Sometimes she hardly sleeps sometimes she spends most of the day asleep. Luckily neither seems to affect her night routine. Sorry for the long post! Thanks Smile

Sorry, losing track of what day it is. She's actually 6 weeks on Tuesday!

My dd is 4 weeks old and we are loosely following a routine. I am feeding her at 6 and put her down in her moses for 7. She can take ages to actually go to sleep but doesn't cry in meantime just coos. Hoping she will start going to sleep quicker as she gets older and does more to wear herself out. We don't always bath get but if we do it's at 5.20.

So simple answer is-whenever you like. There aren't any rules. Do what you want she's your baby. Try it and see what happens.

Mine started to grizzle to go up earlier at around 9 weeks, if that helps? Now sleeps 7-6/7am since around 5 months (with wake ups in night to pop dummy in!) Sleeps through now at 7.5 months.
