I know I am not alone on this issue but really could do with some fresh perspective.
My baby is 6 months old and is waking up every 3 hours, generally he wants feed. He is in a very good routine durring the day. Eats at exactly the same times - 7,11,2 and 6. He is on solids and still wants feed at night.
The last 2 nights he feed at 7:00 and then woke up at 9:00 and he wouldnt go back to sleep without a feed. He does drink loads ( I am breastfeeding)Some nights he will go 6 -7 hours without waking, these are few and far between!
Last night he woke up and had me going for 2 hours, he wouldnt go back to sleep unless he lay next to me in the bed. He has always slept in his cot bed with no problem.
I really would like to get some sleep. I let him cry it out last night for 30 min but in the end went in - he wasn't hesterical just fushing and then a long gap and then some more fussing.
I am really in need of some sleep - suggestions would be great!

I have a breast-fed 6 month old who has only just started to sleep through after waking often twice a night for food. She has only started sleeping through after getting a feeding routine properly established (she used to mess about with milk and solids before introducing the 3rd meal). She feeds alternate milk and solids at about 7,10,12,3,5 and 7. Dont know if this helps you but it seems to have worked for us!
