Weve had a pretty awful couple of nights with DS. In the day he will only sleep if being held but was quite good at going down at night and would wake at 4am and not go back to sleep but at least he would sleep until 3am.

Now he has started to make straining noises when laid down in his moses basket and breaks wind constantly, he also moans/cries all the time. The only way he would sleep last night was held on our chests. Obv we cant do this all the time and it means weve had no sleep.
Were desperate for sleep

What can we do.

Have you tried raising the mattress in his basket? Or infacol?
DS1 had terrible colic. I remember 2 awful nights when DH was on night shift, and the only way DS1 would sleep was with his tummy being rubbed, but of course once i stopped he woke up straining and drawing his legs up.! I was shattered.

My DS1 wouldn't sleep except while on the boob when he was tiny. We slept with him at night, which worked fine. Is co-sleeping an option for you?
