How the hell do you sleep train a LO with a toddler in the house??!!

Hi there! I have a DS who's 2 1/2 and a DD now 16 weeks. I sleep trained my DS when he was around 3-4 months old as I like to have a routine and have time to get stuff done during the day. I'd like to get DD into some sort of routine too but it's proving impossible! She will fall asleep BFing but wakes instantly when I put her down in her bed. With DS I spent an awful lot of time soothing him back to sleep but obviously I can't do this now he's older and needs a watchful eye. To make matters worse DS seems to be in the beginnings of dropping his nap- the one part of the day I had reserved for DD to sleep on me. She literally just catnaps throughout the day - 10 mins here and there. I don't mind having her in the sling for some of her daytime sleep but don't want to carry her round all day! Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
