DS is 8 months on Thursday and has never been a good sleeper but I made my peace with feeding at 11 and at 4 but the last three weeks he has just gone backwards he wakes at 1 ish and just doesn't settle he cried/ screamed for 2.5hours last night and ended in my bed. He can self settle as he falls asleep by himself for naps and at bed time. Hv said routine is perfect and she can't Explain the problem. Tried gradual retreat and controlled crying but nothing has a lasting effect! I tried sleeping on the floor in his room but that only makes the crying last longer! I go back to work in 4 weeks so really need to get sleep soon!

Ha, i'm sooooo with you. 7 m/o DD .. if the social services had heard my mumbled threats earlier 
I've JUST put her down and come downstairs to try to chill out - before i left the room though i announced to p that if he so much as breathed and woke her up, she'd be his responsibility!
I'm not normally that mean (backstory is huge)
No real advice here either, but now you're not alone and building up quite a group of knackered looking bloodshot eyed parents..
