Sorry funny foot. I didn't realise that would be an issue? I'm just desperate for advice tbh. I didnt think sleep board would be busy so I posted on chat where there is more traffic.

OP you appear to have 2 threads with the same heading going. This one and one in chat.
Might be an idea to ask HQ to delete 1 of them.

This is the age they can start having night terrors.
I found having soothing music on low helped.
It may well be that he is feeling insecure if his dad has left.
Even very little children do pick up on these things.

Myself and dp have separated but he had been sleeping poorly ever before that happened even though I'm sure it does factor in too. When 'wakes' he doesn't seem to be fully awake if that makes sense?

Does he sleep much during the day?

What has changed recently?

I am sure you have considered all the usual:

Growth Spurt
hungry
too hot
too cold
thirsty
something waking him (in my case it was noisy neighbours)

Sometimes when you are exhausted and befuddled you can miss something that later turns out to be relevant. (hopeful)

Hadn't thought of back teeth. He doesn't appear to be ill in anyway though. I brought into my bed last night and I got about 40 mins between weakening a. I really don't know what to do with him sad

Has he had a cold?
Could he have earache? Ear infections present in little children with severe pain when horizontal which improves dramatically as soon as they are picked up/vertical. Get his ears checked just in case.

Otherwise - would he settle in your bed, just so you can rest?

Could he be getting his back teeth? That can cause ear pain.

By my 22mth old. For the past 5 weeks he falls asleep no problem but he has decided to sleep in ten min intervals from 11 o clock onwards. It's torture! I'm exhausted and he's a ball of energy!
I have tried EVERYTHING. I've let him cry for a little while, I've done the pick up put down method, I've been doing the winding down with a bath, some warm milk and a little snack..
I am at my wits end. I feel ill I'm so tired.
He has eczema and does get quite itchy but he gets anti histamine for the itch and prescribed cream for his skin.
Please tell me someone has a miracle cure for my little insomniac ;)
