Anyone else had this?

DD2 just woke up after an hour during her lunchtime nap (she is only 8mo and needs 2 hours). So she started crying. I left her for a few mins to see if she would settle but she didn't and got quite worked up. So I went to calm her and give her some milk (she's BF'd) but she just didn't want me at all). After about 10 mins I gave up and put her back in her cot and she went back to sleep 5 mins later.

Feel a bit sorry for her - she was going bonkers but just wanted to sleep.

ds used to do this sometimes, wake up, but didn't want to be awake, couldn't seem to settle himself, I'd go and pick him up, try to rock/soothe him to no effect, so popped him back in cot to go and get a drink for him or whatever in case that was the problem, came back 3 or 4 minutes later and he was fast asleep! It's like he was sleep-crying..
I think maybe they just need the reassurance of some contact from mum or dad or whoever an dthen they can go back to sleep...
