dd2 has just turned one. She will eventually share a room with ehr sister who is 3.5. (i didnt put dd1 into her own room until she was 2.5!) at that only because baby came along!

I just think it might make bed time routine easier if they were in same room.

But am terrified and think she is still too young, (still have baby monitor on dd1 until we go up to bed!, keep dd2 asleep downstairs until i go to bed)

also dd1 (3.5) still has 'help' to go to sleep (daddy holds her hand!) which can take up to half an hour! na thinking if we put in same room they can help each other to sleep and i might get soemhting resembling an evening to myself!

Ds was in his own room once he slept through - in his case, 13 weeks. Never a problem. We can hear if there's a problem - no baby monitor on at all anymore.

Do whatever you're happy with though is my advice. Do you have a room DD2 could have to herself until they're a bit older to share?

Out of interest, where does DD1 stay sleeping downstairs until you go to bed? Don't want to cause any offence, but wouldn't it be good for you and DH to have her in her own bed all night from bedtime to getting up? Then you'd get some evening. DH could still help her go to sleep in her own bed. It sounds like you might find it harder than DD though. The first few nights she might complain, but she would learn really quickly - esp. maybe if you let her get involved in helping to put DD2 to bed?
