URGENT HELP NEEDED...

My 14 mth old daughter has always slept well, until sunday night when she refused to go to sleep - we went throught a long process of cuddling, crying etc until she finally dropped off at 10 pm ish. This behaviour has continued - even with her usually happy daytime sleep. tonight she is still awake now and I've just realised she isn't and hasn't been, sucking her thumb as she normally does. I'm sure this is why she can't relax to go to sleep and have checked her thumb - which is fine, but the odd thing is she just seems to have forgotten that is what she does, she's not even attempting to suck it!

I doubt anyone can help but I would be really gratefull for any suggestions, or similar stories (reassurance Wink).

Thanks.

Is she teething?

Hi there, she already has 7 teeth and a new one has just come through, but she's never been like this before and the new tooth is right through now. Thanks for the suggestion though.

It might have made her mouth feel different with an extra tooth in there - not as comfy for her thumb?

Blimey yep, good point, I'd not considered that! You might have hit the nail on the head there Hunker. Thanks, guess I can't fix the problem though, :).
