Hi, I've never had a good sleeper but he's getting worse. He's 21wks nearly and FF. He woke up all night last night. Is this common at this age. He's now been napping for 3hrs in pram as he's so exhausted. Should I wake him or leave him as he may be overtired?

Was he awake and crying?

I'm not sure as both my kids were bf, but I do remember night wakings frequently when they were going through developmental growth spurts.

DD is 29 weeks old and wakes pretty much hourly at night, though like your DS will sleep longer stretches during day.

He was awake and crying. He usually wakes frequently for milk but last night this wasn't the case.

Teething?

Are you ok? You've posted a few times today; this age is so hard, and there's so much to try and work out. It sounds like you are doing an amazing job, and at this age I also used to worry about it all too. I still worry, even though DS is 2.8, and am always asking q's on here!

Babies are weird, but I'm with Needles - my DS also BF but woke loads and loads...and loads!

My DS woke loads at this age too. Some nights he still wakes loads & he's almost a year. Some babies just do. It's tough going when your sleep deprived. Do you have much support?

Mine is 20 weeks and his sleep is terrible at the moment. Dd's was too at this age. It's rough, but it's normal. you're not alone and you're not doing anything wrong!

I take a bit of comfort from reading these posts cos my ds is 26 weeks and we're going through exactly the same thing! Keep smiling and stay strong, it won't be like this forever...that's what I keep telling myself anyway!! smile
