When and how long does your 12mo nap?

12mo DD has been waking up at 5-6am instead of 7-7.30 for the past week and I can't work out why. She's previously been a good nighttime sleeper. One option is teething, another option is that we've changed to age 1-2 formula and it might not be enough for her. The other option is that her naps might be wrong now, so I thought I'd pick people's brains on the naps!

Currently she sleeps 7.30/8pm to 7/7.30am. She normally goes to sleep very quickly at bedtime. She naps at 9.30ish for about 45 mins, though we often have to wake her from this as she would go longer. Then she naps again at about 2 for an hour or so.

We can't really move the naps any later without causing a problem for the CM - if she naps later in the mornings, they might have to miss toddler groups, and sleeping any later than 3 isn't possible because of the school run. I'm not convinced she wants to drop the morning nap yet but maybe I'm wrong.

What naps does your 12mo have?

Hi lexiesgirl
Hope your well and those cat naps came to an end. My dd has mostly remained a cat napper but I occasionally get treated to a long nap......always not when needed.
Dd is now 1 year old and has about same schedule as yours. Although naps are a bit strange at the mo.
dd wakes 6-7.30am usually naps about 3.5hrs then another nap around 2/3pm for an hour.
But today for instance she slept 1045 til 1130 then refused the afternoon nap and was mega tired and grumpy for bed.
I think she is Definatly changing between 2 to 1 nap a day. I just hope it rebalances itself soon enough.

Hi Nini! The catnaps are a killer, aren't they? She's better but she's still prone to having two short naps and that's it, making a very grumpy baby Grin

She still seems very tired by 10 in the morning, which is really making me unsure. Maybe I should just brave it and keep her up longer. I'm going to really miss that morning nap, though...!
