Should I wake DS up to change his nappy?

Just checked on 18 month old DS, he's sound asleep but has pooed. I've never had this situation before, what do you do?! If I change his nappy he will wake up & almost definitely not go back to sleep for hours. But can I leave him, it seems wrong!

I would get him up but do it in the darkest that you can manage to see, mine usually woke but not fully then just went straight back to sleep still clutching teddy. Mine have eczema though so knowingly leaving them in a dirty nappy wasn't really an option.

I would change him, his bottom will be sore if you leave him.
He might not wake, I have been in this situation with ds who is a very light sleeper, don't turn the main light on, quick change and hopefully he will sleep through. Good luck

If he isn't bothered I would leave him. I know what you mean about it seeming wrong though but he will be more upset in the morning by lack of sleep than a dirty nappy.

change in dark,dont talk,hopefully he sleep
i couldnt leave mine in soiled nappy had sensitive skin

Change it, you can't leave him in a dirty nappy overnight, his poor bum will be red raw in the morning. It is possible to change it with them sleeping keep the room quiet and dark. Good luck.
