Sitting up disturbing 11 mo sleep

11mo has started to sit up from laying down in the day time (she doesn't crawl - more rolls, shuffles army style!)

Anyway now she's starting doing it when I put her in her cot. Just wondered if anyone whose experienced this can tell me how best to deal with it? Basically guess I don't want her to think it's a game at nap time/bedtime (although is quite cute!)

Any advice out there?

Thanks

Hope no one minds. Just bumping in case any evening readers had experience of this.

It's just a small thing but would juts find it interesting how others deal/dealt with this.

Thanks again

I was still feeding to sleep when DS went through this stage so that's not much help! My problem was he started sitting up in his sleep, which then woke him and freaked him out.

I didn't find a solution unfortunately, just had to wait it out (many weeks as he then began to sleep -roll!). For the sleep rolling the best solution I found was to bring him into our bed and DH sleep elsewhere so DS had more room to roll and din't wake up from hitting the bars.

Erm, so I'm not much help sorry!

DS likes standing in his cot. I let him stand for a bit then just keep lying him back down and singing to him. He likes me to sing him to sleep, so when he stands up I stop singing which annoys him. He has now learnt to lie back down again to make me start singing again, although I do keep lying him down myself.

Ds did this but with standing and/or crawling to top of cot in the night which of course woke him (and me) up. Afraid it is just a phase.all I did was lie him back down and stay with him til he resettled.sometimes he wasn't even awake, other times he was and it took a while.

I cuddle and lay dd down again then stroke her back until she sleeps... Doesn't always work but if not I rock to sleep.
