Hello lovelies!

Hope the title meets with everyone's approval.

I have just one thing to say at the moment, a propos of the John Finnemore thing in the last thread: 'pub kitten'? 'pub kitten'?!!? Just how cute does that sound?

FrankelSaysRelax Sat 13-Oct-12 15:54:09

Phew! A new thread!

Yes, pub kitten sounds ver cute grin

LetUsPrey Sat 13-Oct-12 16:01:00

Thanks for the new thread LadyClarice. Pub kitten sounds very cute indeed and makes me wish even more that I'd be able to make it to the venue. But I can't.

I'll get some links in later but I have to get ready to go out whilst I have some peace and quiet in the house!

Morning indeed grin

I feel cheated: where is the Lycra we were promised?????

FrankelSaysRelax Sun 14-Oct-12 12:33:58

Yes Sir

Legs!!!!!! grin

<happy now>

Hello all,

What a lucky girl am I -- DS2 napping, DS1 and DH (and inlaws) all out walking around, and I sit here in the hotel with WiFi and new pics of Benedict to sigh over!

Added bonus, I took my copy of PE with us, and now DH is a fan as well. (Well, I guess on a slightly different level than me, but he gets a lot of points for not asking to watch something else.) He actually wanted to watch 4 episodes last night; we got through three before I called it a night. So I have lovely episode 5 to look forward to. DH doesn't know about the end (and I haven't told him)... Now if it would only stop raining, it would be a great holiday!!

LetUsPrey Sun 14-Oct-12 14:32:22

Sounds like my kind of holiday NeedsAGreenCard grin. Enjoy the rest of PE.

Those pictures! He has amazing calves. I want to bite them. Nice bum too smile.

LetUsPrey Sun 14-Oct-12 21:12:58

I looked at this picture and I wasn't looking at his hair grin

Lots of photos of him in lycra and riding his bike on Tumblr.

Hello Everyone..been absent too long..Loving the pictures and loved Parade's End. I really did not understand why some people found it so complicated and were so critical. BC lovely and Rebecca Hall beautiful.. so many lovely tender moments..

LetUsPrey Tue 16-Oct-12 13:30:04

He does have a fine pair of legs doesn't he? Strong, supportive ....

Dear god, if anyone ever checked out the logs for the WiFi in this hotel, they'd think I'd be certifiable. (And they'd be right.) Loved the ride photos from Sunday!

And yes, Prey, he does have divine legs and bum. And everything else. <whimper>

FrankelSaysRelax Tue 16-Oct-12 21:50:49

Anyone seen Addict lately? I miss her letters to BC grin

LetUsPrey Tue 16-Oct-12 23:45:05

Look at this. He seems to be wearing the grey "bridge" design t-shirt again. More importantly, however, look at his hair. It's quite long and wavy and oh isn't it only a few months before they're due to start shooting Sherlock again.

Incidentally, I don't generally eat salad but Benedict, for you I wouldgrin, along with anything else you'd care to put in front of me ....

FrankelSaysRelax Wed 17-Oct-12 07:11:23

January for Sherlock isn't it? Which, actually, isn't that far away. Plus, once we get into 2013 it won't be long before we get to see bad-ass Star Trek-Batch grin

Bless the little love, he looks tired. [volunteers to tuck him up in bed] wink

FrankelSaysRelax Wed 17-Oct-12 08:21:08

Oooo, I think that might be BC's flat in the picture. James Rhodes tweeted later on in the evening that he needed to organise a taxi to get himself home. <Miss Marple>

LetUsPrey Wed 17-Oct-12 09:51:03

I already have a mental image of his bedroom. And his bathroom. And the kitchen. And the hallway. grinIt's nice to have an actual picture to go with it.

FrankelSaysRelax Thu 18-Oct-12 21:23:14

Evening, ladies,

I have finally defrosted from our holiday. The heater was faulty, so half the time it was a balmy 18° in our hotel room. At night we only had a space heater for the loo, which made late-night dashes out a thing to be reconsidered. We got back last night and revelled in our shower this morning -- a constant 38°. Heaven. There's no place like home.

Of course, the photos of Benedict in his biking togs did do its share of keeping me warm...

Have you seen this? Because it's exactly what went through my head when I saw it.

That James Rhodes pic has been keeping my imagination busy. Very busy. Love the hair. Love everything about it. Although not sure about the couch. But yeah, I'd volunteer to tuck him in and jump him...

LetUsPrey Thu 18-Oct-12 22:02:23

I was out again last night! I know, amazing. Not been able to get on the laptop and have a good Tumblr.

How do these grab you? Still tagged but still phwoargrin

FrankelSaysRelax Thu 18-Oct-12 22:06:29

Phwoar indeed grin

Not that I'm one to send Benedict anything, but I got an e-mail today about these cufflinks (you may be asked to sign up or log in with Facebook, but it's innocuous, I swear), and immediately thought of this.

So tempted. So. Tempted.

LetUsPrey Thu 18-Oct-12 22:54:52

Oooh I like those. I actually need some cufflinks for a couple of my shirts. Think I'll check Redbubble for Cabin Pressure themed ones too.

Normally I think his eyes are the colour of blue topaz. But in this shot, I say opals.

And oh my, this makes me smile.

Woot! Children AND husband out of the house...

YouTube makes my day.

LetUsPrey Fri 19-Oct-12 20:18:45

LetUsPrey Fri 19-Oct-12 21:07:41

No idea how old this picture is but not seen it before. I'll be looking at it again.

I can't unsee this. Well, I guess we all know what I'm going to be dreaming about tonight. (I hope.)

LetUsPrey Fri 19-Oct-12 23:23:53

Channel 4 are screening the Frankenstein: A Modern Myth documentary on 31st October.

Loving these!

LetUsPrey Sat 20-Oct-12 22:29:22

Well helllooooooo

DH was talking about your equine hero today Frankel. There was admiration and astonishmentgrin

FrankelSaysRelax Sun 21-Oct-12 10:11:22

Hello indeed!

My namesake is pretty darn awesome - I have photos of him on my profile that I have taken this year. Yesterday was utterly amazing, I've never known a crowd make noise like it! A shame he has now been retired, but we all have Frankel babies to look forward too grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sun 21-Oct-12 11:43:39

YAAAAAAAAAAY Frankenstein doc!

I like to think that it was my sad, obsessive emails to Channel 4 that made them finally schedule it. grin

Prey, that photo is beautiful. Think it may be quite recent (summer 2011?) as I seem to remember other pics of him at a St Tropez-branded event around then.

And another big yay! for Benedict, Martin and Sherlock

LetUsPrey Sun 21-Oct-12 20:41:53

Well obviously it was your emails LadyClaricegrin

Re Sherlock ending. This is a theory which involves his 'phone and him throwing away his 'phone before he jumped. I've no idea if the 'phone's anything to do with it, but it's something I said at the time. I would love it so much if I was right in any way, shape or formgrin

And something nice to look at

FrankelSaysRelax Sun 21-Oct-12 21:36:11

BC is attending the Skyfall premiere on Tuesday. DH applied for tickets through Tickets For Troops <crosses fingers in desperate hope> grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 22-Oct-12 08:44:05

Prey, I thought it was odd him throwing away his phone too, but it makes sense that he was recording Moriarty's words if the phone is to be his 'note'.

Does the phone thing help to explain how he faked his death, though? Or will it just be used to bring down Moriarty?

And that picture is mmmmmmmm. Those snake hips.

Good luck, Frankel!

LetUsPrey Mon 22-Oct-12 13:22:55

See, if there's two of us thinking the same thing that the 'phone is involved in some way, then it's obviously right!

If you go to the premiere Frankel, do pass my number on to BC won't you? Be a bit awkward for you to "get acquainted" with him what with your DH being with yougrin

FrankelSaysRelax Mon 22-Oct-12 15:14:33

Boo hiss! No sign of the "congrats, here are your tickets" email. I'm guessing we'd know by now sad

It's a black tie premiere too = BC in a tux [swoon]

Probably for the best really, doubtless I'd only embarrass myself grin

FrankelSaysRelax Mon 22-Oct-12 18:59:40

Found him! (Actually, I found The Moffat first -- that hair is IMPOSSIBLE to miss.)

Can't wait for the photos from the premiere!

For Frankel...

LetUsPrey Tue 23-Oct-12 22:06:06

Have just pressed record for ITV3+1. Phew!

FrankelSaysRelax Tue 23-Oct-12 22:11:29

He's been up twice in the first hour, plus lots of lovely camera shots of him at the table.

No sign of any Skyfall Premiere photos yet <sulks>

LetUsPrey Tue 23-Oct-12 22:15:03

Frankel - Your post in my Threads I'm On says "He's been up twice in the first hour".

I. Wish.

LetUsPrey Tue 23-Oct-12 22:55:50

Frankel, I hear you. I've been trolling the internet since before the premiere was scheduled to start. Nothing yet? Seems they're keeping those photos under the same tight wraps as the film itself. <joins you in the sulky corner>

Prey, the more often I read that quote, the sadder it makes me feel. Sometimes I wonder/hope he has someone, hidden away from the public, whom he loves and will have kids with someday. I really do wish that for him, because he seems to be such a lovely person. [Of course, in Fantasyland, I'm that special person...]

Still no premiere photos...<sniff>

I received this link from a former classmate this morning. It's not BC-related, but it did remind me of Valentine in Parade's End. If she had an American accent. And danced like Lady Gaga.

I can't wait for the election to be over and we can go back to our regularly scheduled lives. Am quite sick of "X is a poopy head" and "Y is a doo-doo brain".

FrankelSaysRelax Wed 24-Oct-12 08:15:47

Only twice Prey?! wink

I demand some TuxBatch pictures from last night!!!

No! No! No!!!!!

Frankel, I think we're screwed. At least until the next premiere/awards ceremony/whatever. <pout>

And this dear boy looks like he rolled straight out of bed into his tux. What my musician's soul wouldn't give for a photo of James and Benedict together in their finery...

megcleary Wed 24-Oct-12 21:40:56
LetUsPrey Wed 24-Oct-12 21:51:47

Had reached the conclusion he didn't go to the Skyfall premiere.

Twice in an hour sounds okay to me Frankel. That's an average of half an hour a time which doesn't sound too bad to mewink

Excellent spot megcleary! His hair's looking a bit more on the ginger side isn't it? <sigh>

megcleary, I don't think that was Tuesday night. The second paragraph of the article reads:

"A remarkable cast drawn from the worlds of TV, film and stage came together on Friday in a final fundraising push for the Park Theatre in Clifton Terrace, Finsbury Park, raising £100,000 by auction and raffle."

Pooh. So either he was deemed not interesting enough by the paparazzi or perhaps he chose to stay home. Maybe he was the reason James Rhodes looked so dishevelled? ;)

LetUsPrey Thu 25-Oct-12 08:33:54

Okay, I'll own up. BC couldn't make it back down to that there London in time for the premiere on Tuesday and his tux was a bit crumpled from when he threw it on the floor. grin

FrankelDeBeauvoir Thu 25-Oct-12 19:22:01
LetUsPrey Thu 25-Oct-12 22:17:06

Love that picture Frankel

As I was saying ... sorry, where was I ... I seem to have lost my train of thought

Not sure if you all have seen this article. Makes me happy that we all play well together. Right?

Tomorrow night I've got a Parade's End marathon lined up with my Irish friend who also lives here in the land of pig parts and beer. And our local freebie TV guide had a tiny little article about PE in it (entitled "An Officer and a Dragon") -- apparently Ford Maddox Ford is the grandson of a newspaper magnate from our town. Cool! (Maybe I can convince Benedict to come visit....wishful thinking...) There's a sizeable article about him and his work (albeit in German) here.

sloppygirl Fri 26-Oct-12 19:37:13

Hi all,
I seem to recall seeing a post that there was a documentary on channel 4 Halloween night, about the making of Frankenstein..I have tried to find details for Sky Plus, but no joy..anyone be able to help me out ? Have I misunderstood..(entirely possible and probable) .It does not seem to be on my TV listing and I want to set it to record.

Thanks girls, for any help you can give.

BTW.. I was at Sky Fall premiere but did not see HIM..I thought he MIGHT go, and kept my eyes peeled, but no joy..TYPICAL..he is so tall compared to me that I am sure I would have spotted him. I was a woman on a mission..!!

LetUsPrey Fri 26-Oct-12 21:03:53

It's on Wednesday 31st at 11.10pm on Channel 4. It's called Frankenstein: A Modern Myth (I think).

Ch4 HD on Sky is 230.

Going back to your post, you were at the Skyfall premiere? Did you see Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem. Not BC, but even so...

sloppygirl Sun 28-Oct-12 17:52:05

Hi All.

PREY...yes..thanks so much for the links..I will set SKY Plus ..

I did see Daniel Craig on Tuesday..I went with my son, who managed to get tickets..( he is great at getting tickets..just has a knack. There were a few on public release and I was thrilled that he did not mind taking his aging mother..can be tricky when you are 19!)

We saw Judy Dench close up several times on the red carpet ( She is beautiful),and dear old Christopher Lee, who spoke to my son..a big fan.. . Did not get to see Javier, but Daniel is hunky ..not that tall, but tall enough... that suits me as I am very small. He is very FIT. I read later on that he had a bad cold on Tuesday night. I, too , had a very bad cold.I would have tucked him up had I had the chance..Such a shame no BC..I really did keep my eyes peeled whilst on the red carpet..( in the interests of all members of this site...).Probably never again have such a great chance to see him.

FrankelDeBeauvoir Mon 29-Oct-12 20:25:06

envy @ sloppy

Video of BC talking about the Palace to Palace Bike Ride.

LetUsPrey Mon 29-Oct-12 20:37:23

Also envy Sloppy. Daniel Craig is apparently 5'11 - bit not quite tall enough for me. One would have to wear heels at the red carpet events and out for dinner, etc and I suppose it wouldn't be appropriate to be that much taller than your date.grin

I've seen that video posted on Tumblr a few times throughout the day Frankel but haven't been able to watch it yet due to presence of DC and then DH. Am at home tomorrow and DS1 is off to a friend's house for the day. DS2 can't/won't grass me up.

FrankelDeBeauvoir Thu 08-Nov-12 22:33:50

LetUsPrey Thu 08-Nov-12 22:40:24

I'm waiting for TTSS to be on Sky. It was on Sky Box Office ages ago and I've had it on an email notification with Sky for when it's going to be on (that doesn't make much sense but hopefully you'll know what I mean!) and I haven't had any emails from them about it. <grump> Never got round to watching Atonement either. I have so much to look forward towink

Love those photos. I like to think that in the first one he's looking over and planning exactly what's going to happen latergrin and in the second one I can just hear him saying "bite it". Wrong wrong wrong, but oh so right grin

<Cabin Pressure reference>

I was just looking through the office copy of The Daily Telegraph when I stumbled across a full page advert for "Patek Philippe" watches grin
I genuinely <squueeed> and did "the voice". It's cheered me up no end!

I may have to Tweet John Finnemore grin

LetUsPrey Tue 13-Nov-12 18:16:14

On the subject of Cabin Pressure related products, M&S have some knickers with polar bears on them. This may be TMI but I am currently sporting a pair of undies featuring Le Bear Polar grin.

They're also in tribute to the song Polar Bear by King Charlesgrin

Prey, that's at least one way to get him in your pants...

Sorry for being gone for so long; RL got in the way. DS1 had some trouble getting used to school (rules! What a concept!), then we all had the tummy bug that's going round, etc.

Can I just say that it was CRUEL to watch TV last night? DH was watching some pseudo-science show about physics, and just as he was about to turn off the tube at 11:30, "Hawking" came on. I actually squealed and started dancing next to the bed while saying "ooh, ooh, ooh". DH came running out of the bath because he thought something was wrong. Whoops.

For anyone who's ever stepped on one of those confounded Legos barefoot...while being distracted by Benedict.

LetUsPrey Wed 14-Nov-12 08:22:54

(can't get to any recordings)

But still, squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

By coincidence, I listened to St Petersburg on the way home tonightgrin

[to be said in the best Arthur Shappey voice possible] Hooray!

That's wonderful news about CP -- esp. that all the actors are returning. Although I am sad that I won't be able to even try to get tickets, at least I'll be able to get my hands on the recordings...soon...I hope.... Does anyone remember how long they need between the last broadcast and publication?

Thanks, Prey, yes, things are calming down. Everyone over here just needs to calm the hell down and realize that six year old boys don't like to sit still, hate to follow directions and mouth off occasionally. I believe the British expression is "Calm your tits"? If that's true, then I'd like to order everyone (myself included) a big portion of calmed tits.

And if anyone needs a Benedict related laugh, go check out how much the German Amazon site wants for a copy of "Hawking". If I had that kind of money lying around, I'd fly to London and demand a live performance of it. Especially the bathtub scenes. Maybe ONLY the bathtub scenes. And only if I get to hold (or withhold) his towel. grin

LetUsPrey Wed 14-Nov-12 20:55:21

Last time I checked Amazon here Hawking was £100.

€498.89 new, or used for €471.76.

I mean, I loved the film. But almost 500 Euros?

LetUsPrey Wed 14-Nov-12 20:59:08

I've just looked on Amazon. £250 new, £120 used. Don't think so.

FrankelDeBeauvoir Thu 15-Nov-12 20:51:07

Over here in FantasyLand, we're pretending that it's Smaug breathing the fire in the volcano in that clip.

Yes, it's been that kind of day.

This will make me feel slightly better about my impending 40th birthday. Less than four weeks to go. Wouldn't it be nice if I got a gift-wrapped Benedict? I know just where the bow would go, too.

LetUsPrey Thu 15-Nov-12 23:24:28

I wouldn't even want that much wrapping on him.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeee for Star Trek!

40 GreenCard? You're a youngster!

Um...I wasn't planning on any other wrapping other than the bow, actually. blush

And I may be a "youngster" but I have enough white hairs to warrant a colour job every three months. [checks mirror, makes mental note to make appointment]

LetUsPrey Fri 16-Nov-12 21:16:41

The bow would be overkill grin

I have grey/white hairs. I look upon them as nature's highlightssmile

The colouring is the only major beauty vice I have. Now to keep my stylist from mixing up Platinum Blonde and smearing it in my hair... Last time I came home with Elsa-Lanchester-style stripes going up my temples... Yuck.

God, I'm giggling at this.

And the quilter in me is DYING to make him one based on these.

megcleary Sat 17-Nov-12 22:06:32

Holy cleavage, Batman! Don't envy her when it came time to remove that double-sided sticky tape.... (But being that close to Benedict just might be worth it...)

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay, Cabin Pressure!

That's all. smile

I am disappointed that none of you has posted this yet...

And this made me laugh out loud.

This... just makes me want to cry, he's so pretty. Am I going to go straight to hell if I take this picture to my hairdresser and tell her to make my hair that colour?

LetUsPrey Mon 19-Nov-12 21:52:37

Not chance to post any links tonight as not on laptop and DC and DH have been lurking. Loving the links though grin

Can't wait for Cabin Pressure!

FrankelDeBeauvoir Mon 19-Nov-12 21:56:47

megcleary, I just clicked on the Burlesque photo again. Zoom in, and you can see one of his trouser buttons is undone....

Actually, those trousers seem to feature a lot of FantasyLand fodder....

FrankelDeBeauvoir Wed 21-Nov-12 12:35:06

Cabin Pressure applications now open grin

Restricted to one application per household. Good luck everyone!

LetUsPrey Wed 21-Nov-12 18:36:40

I would so love to go to a Cabin Pressure recording. Had the Christmas special on yesterdaygrin. John Finnemore is a fantastic writer.

Loads of things I wanted to link to last night but didn't get chance. Will try later.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Wed 21-Nov-12 18:38:10

Have applied.

Have crossed EVERYTHING.

LetUsPrey Wed 21-Nov-12 18:55:47

Good luck. Fingers crossed for you grin

FrankelDeBeauvoir Wed 21-Nov-12 19:00:41

I've applied for 16th December <crosses all appendages>

Good luck, ladies!!

FrankelDeBeauvoir Wed 21-Nov-12 22:03:42

Clarice what date did you go for? If we both get the same day we really ought to meet up for a drinkie wink

FrankelDeBeauvoir Thu 22-Nov-12 18:11:31

Ah, if only he were <drifts off in to dream state> grin

LetUsPrey Thu 22-Nov-12 18:44:11

That disguise does funny things to megrin

Good luck with the ticket applications!

Ladies, send links, am stuck in parent night hell....

FrankelDeBeauvoir Thu 22-Nov-12 19:15:23

Here you go GreenCard, some very, very biteable lips grin

LetUsPrey Thu 22-Nov-12 19:39:36

How about this? grin

Thanks, Prey, that's helping to curb the urge to bitch-slap half the room...

LetUsPrey Thu 22-Nov-12 20:52:55

Frankel's was a favouritegrin

FrankelDeBeauvoir Thu 22-Nov-12 20:58:57

grin @ Prey. The tag line for that picture was "Bitch, please" grin

FrankelDeBeauvoir Fri 23-Nov-12 13:29:29

Ver, ver naice wink

Hand porn for Prey grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Fri 23-Nov-12 14:51:47

Frankel, 2 Dec. Which hopefully means that we've spread our chances and made both of us more likely to get them ...

[dodgy maths]

LetUsPrey Fri 23-Nov-12 16:47:23

Those links have perked me up a bitsmile

Good luck with the ticket allocation and then with actually to getting in for the recording!

LetUsPrey Sat 24-Nov-12 21:50:17

Really need some BC and/or BC links but the DC have been around for most of the time and now DH is going to be next to me for the rest of the night!

Prey, I may be a day late and a dollar short, but this is for you...

FrankelDeBeauvoir Sun 25-Nov-12 19:48:17
LetUsPrey Sun 25-Nov-12 21:31:06

GreenCard - I can only say thank yougrin as I can't manage any other words.

And Frankel - post a warning next time will you? I can't think quickly enough these days to explain away a megashriek to DH.

Speaking of issuing warnings ... Do make sure you're alone

Get to 1 min 15 of and then just watch his hand. Hand over move to prevent screams.grin

Prey, you're welcome!

As for that we have any behavioural psychologists among us? Would love to know her theory behind the chair caressing. What/whom he was thinking about....(oh god, hopefully not waxing hopeful about The Moff!! -- perish the thought...)

And all that conjecture over on Cumberbuddy about his penis... [sigh] Am the only one who's put off by the whole "Let's discuss this on the interwebs" thing? It really reduces him to nothing more than Man Meat, and I think we all agree that he is faaaar more than that. Besides, I far prefer my imagination (which has been running on overdrive after clicking on these links).

May I just say that DH and I went to go see "Cloud Atlas" Friday evening, and during the 1973 scenes, Hugo Weaving was soooooo channeling Peter Guillam. I mean, I had to do a double take. But alas, it was just Agent Smith. sad

FrankelDeBeauvoir Mon 26-Nov-12 07:48:11

Sorry Prey, but I'd have thought you'd know by now that many of our links can induce squealing!

As penance, have a BC hand/mouth gif grin

FrankelDeBeauvoir Mon 26-Nov-12 21:17:37

The story has not been confirmed yet by any of the Sherlock team, so there is still hope!

LadyClariceCannockMonty Tue 27-Nov-12 09:47:55

Frankel, did you get tickets? I didn't. sad

<<ignoring Sherlock bombshell>>

FrankelDeBeauvoir Tue 27-Nov-12 15:40:15

I've not had an email yet, so presume not sad

Cabin Pressure funnies

Oh god, there goes the evening. Hnnnnggggg...

LetUsPrey Wed 28-Nov-12 00:08:45

Boo to probably not getting tickets.

Sherlock news Filming pushed back to March but probably won't affect transmission.

Listened to CP - Limerick a couple of days ago grin

And in Star Trek news squeeeeeee an unstoppable force of terror <faints>

And good night and sweet dreams smile

LadyClariceCannockMonty Wed 28-Nov-12 12:36:00

Bugger. sad Sorry for you, Frankel.

I guess I shouldn't be greedy; I've been once I don't mean that; I'm sulking furiously

Oh my god, this makes perfect sense.

Prey, this is an official hot-n-bothered alert:
I need a cold shower now...

LetUsPrey Thu 29-Nov-12 22:21:16

I am watching Richard E Grant's Hotel Secrets on Sky Atlantic. He visits many hotels around the world. This week's episode is titled Sex.

There are some incredibly beautiful hotels, eg L'Hotel in Paris.

I think I would quite like to visit these hotels and stay in them with BC. <drifts off.....>

LetUsPrey Fri 30-Nov-12 21:08:48

Oh how I loved BC in Wreckers

Holy crap, LetUsPrey! I haven't seen Wreckers. Clearly I need to. That back... Also loved those kissy pics from The Last Enemy. Not sure - has anyone posted the news that BC is going to be in the Radio 4 production of Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere'? I'm sure you must have done - nothing BC related gets past you lot!

LetUsPrey Fri 30-Nov-12 23:09:42

Wreckers is a very very good film. I recommend it. and BC looks amazing in - one of my favourite looks

Saw the "Neverwhere" thing on Tumblr grin

Am excited about Neverwhere because I love Neil Gaiman's books. With a cast like that though, surely you need them on screen, not just on the radio. <shallow> Delicious as BC's voice is, I'm sure we'd rather have him in the flesh. As it were.

Frankelstein Sat 01-Dec-12 09:29:00

As WAYWB said on Tumblr about the Neverwhere promotional photo:

<ignores fact that BC and ASH have worked together before on Cabin Pressure>

LetUsPrey Sat 01-Dec-12 13:06:26

Can you imagine walking into a Cabin Pressure recording and not only are BC and the regular cast there, but there's ASH as well? Being supersmooth?

I've just put all the CP episodes on to DS1's Kindle Fire. He's very happygrin

And I've put four episodes of John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme on to my iPod. I can listen to an episode per journey home next week. Something to look forward to.

Was that the recent John Finnemore thing on R4?I have only ever heard snippets of Cabin Pressure, but would like to hear more. I caught one bit of the recent thing and it was pants-wettingly hilarious, particularly the 'Thank you Captain Dinosaur' song. I still get it stuck in my head occasionally!

And yes indeed to the buffyandsherlick comment! Oops - was about to correct my 'Sherlick' typo, but actually it is rather appropriate.

LetUsPrey Sat 01-Dec-12 13:31:46

holmessweetholmes - I got John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme series one off a link on Tumblr. I've just checked and they've got all four episodes of series two for £1.24 each. Early Christmas present for me!

I bought all the CP recordings from too. I think they're on iTunes too.

Ooh fab, thanjs LetUsPrey - will check that out! And must get hold of Wreckers. I can't just watch Sherlock endlessly on a loop. Well, I can, but a little variation would probably be good. Dh does tend to roll his eyes when BC things seem to appear on our Lovefilm list, especially as I never bother adding to the list unless it has BC in!

Frankelstein Sat 01-Dec-12 15:04:08

Is it wrong that, whilst in Asda earlier this afternoon, I let out a loud small shriek on spotting a bottle of Talisker? [bgrin] it's on offer too!

I suddenly remembered this from the first thread. Thought it was worth re-visiting. <fans self>

LetUsPrey Sun 02-Dec-12 17:26:58

Ph-woar grin

I shall provide some links later.<selfless> DH is wandering about at the moment.

More links? <rubs hands> I seem to manage to wean myself off this thread for a while, but then succumb once more to the cumberfrenzy. Maybe it's hormonal. <ponders about BC-cycle>

LetUsPrey Sun 02-Dec-12 18:06:36

Ooh, yum indeed. Another thing I was thinking of re-visiting was that simply filthily-voiced Jaguar ad. You know, the one where he really does not sound as though he is talking about a car at all. I often wondered if the ad people actually asked him to make it as frankly pornographic-sounding as he did. I was very jealous of my friend, who works for Jaguar, being paid to watch promo videos featuring BC. Not fair!

LetUsPrey Sun 02-Dec-12 20:38:32

More CP stuff A giggling BC? <sigh>

Oh, look what I found. You know, just accidentally. grin

Mmm yes, that's the one. <hits repeat. Repeatedly>

Frankelstein Mon 03-Dec-12 21:43:09

Ooh exciting! Someone just posted the first promo poster for Star Trek on Facebook. Featuring.... BC. In a long swishy coat. Squeeee! Will try to find a link.

Frankelstein Mon 03-Dec-12 22:26:50

This one? <swoon>

I love me a man in a swishy coat grin

LetUsPrey Mon 03-Dec-12 23:41:39

Dear Lord. That coat. The swishiness. And there's a whole villainous master-of-all-he-surveys thing going on there. Can't wait until May!

Frankelstein Tue 04-Dec-12 08:03:11

Oh he can be master of anything he wants wink The film comes out 6 days after my birthday, I guess if I can't actually have BC gift-wrapped, the film is the next best thing grin

Love that Cabin Pressure link Prey, I'm so disappointed that I haven't got tickets sad

Frankelstein Tue 04-Dec-12 08:09:37

So smooth!! <fans self>

Frankelstein Tue 04-Dec-12 08:12:19

Me again! Hobbit reviews are now emerging and apparently we get a bit of Necromancer <squuueeee> grin

LetUsPrey Tue 04-Dec-12 08:17:08

Good grief, that photo! That's set me up nicely for the day grin

You know, I'm sure DS1 would love to see The Hobbit.

Just booked tickets for the Hobbit for the 15th. Excited!

Frankelstein Tue 04-Dec-12 21:41:45

Love this grin

We probably won't see The Hobbit till the week after it comes out. My MIL wants to come with us and we have to go before 22nd as my parents arrive for Christmas and I won't be able to get out of the house.

LetUsPrey Tue 04-Dec-12 21:46:22

Was just going to post lots of seriously phwoarworthy links - DH has just walked in.

Think I'll try to get tickets to see The Hobbit with DS1 on the Sunday after it's out.

Frankel - do I need to prepare some sort of escape plan for you? [hgrin]

Frankelstein Tue 04-Dec-12 21:51:52

Oh yes, an option for escape would be good. Either that or just send BC round wink

Confirmation on some Star Trek news:

+ Online trailer released 6th December
+ Cinema trailer will be shown prior to all Hobbit screenings
+ Extended 9 minute trailer will be shown pre-Hobbit at all IMAX cinemas

Double Cumberbatch at all cinemas soon grin

Squeeeee! at Star Trek trailer before Hobbit!

LetUsPrey Wed 05-Dec-12 00:04:29
Frankelstein Wed 05-Dec-12 06:22:49

The Spencer Hart photos look a bit odd. Not BC, but the other chap (presume SH) looks like he's forgotten his glasses!

Ooh, lovely suitbatch. I didn't think I could get more excited about the Hobbit, but the prospect of seeing the Trek trailer too.... Just decided to re-watch all of LoTR (yet again) after seeing the Hobbit too. <geeks out shamelessly> Oh and does anyone else have SNOW this morning?! Everything is just too exciting! Excuse me while I go and find a paper bag to breathe into...

LetUsPrey Wed 05-Dec-12 20:16:58

Excited about The Hobbit - tick.
Excited about Star Trek trailer - tick x lots.
Prospect of snow (supposed to be tomorrow) and excited re said snow - not tick at all.

Having this to keep me warm would help though grin

Phew LetUsPrey - thought my geek-out had made everyone leave the thread in disgust! Thing is, I'm a proper LOTR geek even without the involvement of BC, so I'm doubly squeeee! I have also just watched Baskerville. PSOS. Oh yes. Dh has given up bothering to raise an eyebrow at me when he comes in late and finds me watching sherlock

LetUsPrey Wed 05-Dec-12 22:31:41

I grew up with a brother who was a big Hobbit and LOTR fan. I seem to recall an animated version of The Hobbit, although sometimes I think I've made it up!

Have to say, I'm quite looking forward to the Making Of ... bits of The Hobbit. No particular reason of course wink

I'm just watching Inside Claridge's. (Can just imagine myself in one of those suites with BC). One of the shots from the street panned out to across the road and you could see the Spencer Hart shop. I actually did a little shriek.

Line.Officially.Crossed. a long long time ago

LetUsPrey Wed 05-Dec-12 22:39:30

Oh for goodness sake. They're playing an instrumental version of "Pure Imagination" now - you know, the song BC sang a little bit of in that ?MTV? interview.

Perhaps they're building up to him being in a future episode? In a suite? With me? That will not be televised grin

Frankelstein Wed 05-Dec-12 23:20:46

I remember the Hobbit animation Prey, though IIRC it only covered part of the book - up to the discovery of the ring.

I watched the Claridges programme the other night. Oh how the other half live!

Frankelstein Wed 05-Dec-12 23:43:03
Frankelstein Thu 06-Dec-12 07:13:10

Star Trek trailer goes live at 8am UK time. Twitter will probably go bonkers at that point, so hope someone can post the link here for the rest of us. Unfortunately I'm in meetings from 8am till midday, so I can't do it.

LetUsPrey Thu 06-Dec-12 08:32:19

I really hope that link works.

It's an "announcement" trailer. Think it says there's another trailer after the weekend.

Won't say what the trailer's like but the film looks completely amazing - even on my tiny iPod screen!

Ooh yes, I've just watched the trailer. Looks amazing! And much swishy-coated, gravelly-voiced intenseness from BC. Yum.

Frankelstein Thu 06-Dec-12 18:23:33

Haven't managed to watch the trailer yet - boo! I have seen comments online though grin Apparently the Japanese trailer gets more footage hmm

I feel this is one of those films where in rooting for the bad guy wink

LetUsPrey Thu 06-Dec-12 18:48:09

I'm greedy. I just watched it again, but this time on my laptop. The film itself looks fantastic. Aaaarrrrgghhhhh - won't say more until you've seen it Frankel.

I've watched the Japanese one too. Sqquuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Frankelstein Thu 06-Dec-12 19:21:00

Seen it! Yay! grin x 100

How come the Japanese get more footage then? Hmm? Hmm?

Can't wait for the cinema trailer!

Frankelstein Thu 06-Dec-12 19:44:54

Hand porn for Prey

LetUsPrey Thu 06-Dec-12 20:56:43

I read the caption underneath that picture when it was on - I think - Cumberbuddy's Tumblr. Nearly made me blush. But only nearly grin.

Prey, do you mean this comment?

Managed to stealth-watch the trailer at work today; was grateful that I had the foresight to bring my headphones with me. [mops puddle of drool off floor] Mercy me, that is going to a wonderful two hours of cinema.

Am off to the colourist again tomorrow -- I don't want to start my new decade as an Accidental Ginger. (Although that would make a good nick, don't y'all think?) I told her a little red. Now I'm out 60 Euro and look like I (over)did it myself with a bottle of L'Oreal. [grump] So instead of prepping the house for 20 party guests on Saturday, I will be stuck in The Chair. And I won't even be able to troll Tumblr because for some reason I have no internet connection when I'm there. [double grump]

Frankelstein Thu 06-Dec-12 21:32:05

Oh dear, sorry about the hair issues GreenCard.

Can I just say this shot from the trailer just makes me hhhnngggg wink

Ramp up the red on that shot a few more notches and you have my current mop. Alas, I am not as smoking hot as dear Benedict.

But dear god, he does look scrumptious in that picture, doesn't he? [purr]

LetUsPrey Thu 06-Dec-12 22:07:34

That's the one NeedsAGreenCard gringrin

And as for the part of his palm just at the base of his thumb - Mount of Venus is it? - I want to bite it.

Let someone else get things read for the party and chill out in The Chair. I'm at the hairdressers on Saturday too, but only for a cut. I love going as I get time to myself and it's fun to imagine BC washing my hair!

When is the big day?

And now follows a couple of links which have left me speechless:

Star Trek

More Star Trek

I'm off to watch the trailer again before DH gets home.

Prey -- you're very bite-oriented, aren't you? ;) Calves, lips, hands...Poor boy would present quite a challenge to the make-up artist after you got finished with him!

I would chill in The Chair, but stylist (who is good at cutting but rubbish at colour) now makes me nervous. Will be switching soon.

Sunday is the big day. Have catering lined up, but need to plan for day-after breakfast as well as flaming beverages for the party (mulled red wine with a sugar cone suspended above, soaked in high-proof rum and set alight -- it's a German drink called Feuerzangenbowle and knocks me off my duff but is awesome, if only for the 3-foot-flames generated when DH pours extra rum on the sugar bits). Beer/wine/cola also needs to be bought as well as stuff for a cheese platter (which will be interesting b/c I don't eat the stuff). Another BC-groupie will be in attendance; we might have to sneak off to ogle some links. She's decidedly anti-SciFi, but I think she might make an exception this time...That fringe! All sweaty and...and...and...oh dear, there I go again, thinking what other things he might be doing (that require significantly less clothing) that would get him all sweaty....[sigh]

Frankelstein Fri 07-Dec-12 06:23:25

I appear to have offended the Star Trek fans hmm. I posted the trailer in chat and have been berated as "it's not a Cumberbatch film FFS" grin

Frankel, I think you've been remarkably restrained on your chat thread. And that comment by someone that BC will henceforth only be cast as Brit villains in crappy films.... Clearly hasn't seen him in anything else. Ridiculous. I seriously can't cope with waiting until May though <stamps foot>.

Frankelstein Fri 07-Dec-12 08:05:08

Thanks holmes grin

At least we have his turn as the Necromancer in The Hobbit to look forward to and then Cabin Pressure in January/February. Spring/Summer will be a real Cumberfest - Star Trek and possibly Osage County and <crosses fingers> Sherlock.

Did you hear that they had 17,000 applications for the 600 Cabin Pressure tickets? shock

Frankel, it's not a Cumberbatch film? Well, it's not a solo work, but nothing else he's done is either. But he is the counterpart to Kirk, and is what will make ST:ID soooo great. Haters need to go get stuffed.

2013 is going to be a very good year, indeed!

Came back from the stylist slightly less red. But something was still off. I just looked at myself and realized that I now look like....SHERLOCK! Just a 1.54 m, female version of Sherlock. Yes, my hair is curly. (And I'm even wearing a purple sweater, just definitely not from Dolce & Gabbana.)

Off to finally watch TTSS with DH. SQUEEEEEE!

LetUsPrey Fri 07-Dec-12 22:17:14

Nothing wrong with a bit of a nibble NeedsAGreenCard - and then kissing it better/licking it afterwards grin

Had to do a fake stretch whilst sitting next to DH so I could move my laptop to angle the screen away before I clicked on that link. Totally worth it!

Glad to be of service, Prey!

LetUsPrey Sat 08-Dec-12 23:29:20
Frankelstein Sun 09-Dec-12 15:29:45

Link fail Prey sad

LetUsPrey Sun 09-Dec-12 15:34:08

Try again

Frankelstein Sun 09-Dec-12 16:50:34

That's much better grin

Yup. Definitely accurate, at least the one about Benedict. And Sherlock. And Anderson.

I really need to finish trolling Tumblr before I post here.

And I would go to see this, over and over.

Serious hand porn.

Poor Mycroft.

And even if I catch 18 kinds of hell for it, I hated that shirt he was wearing when he arrived in Japan. Ick.

Frankelstein Sun 09-Dec-12 21:40:21
LetUsPrey Sun 09-Dec-12 22:58:06

I will check the links in the morning. I was waiting for DH to go to bed but he's watching Match of the Day 2.

Frankelstein Mon 10-Dec-12 21:52:14
Frankelstein Tue 11-Dec-12 07:40:52

Info on the 9 minute IMAX trailer, with minor spoilers.

<swoons at thought of cheeky Cumbrrbatch grin>

LetUsPrey Tue 11-Dec-12 21:56:21

Love the links. Very tired today as was out late watching Mumford and Sons last night. They were amazing!

Will do links tomorrow when on laptop.

Frankelstein Tue 11-Dec-12 21:56:26
Frankelstein Wed 12-Dec-12 18:57:12

Have I outlasted you all???? wink

Close your eyes, and just listen to that voice

LetUsPrey Wed 12-Dec-12 19:08:00

As if. grin

Will be along with some links later!

LetUsPrey Wed 12-Dec-12 23:47:55

Well I was going to post some links when I was on the laptop but Tumblr was broken. Gutted.

Mmm StarfleetBatch. Can't wait to see the trailer on the big screen on Saturday!

Frankelstein Thu 13-Dec-12 16:03:16

BC has got a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a mini-series grin. No nomination for MF or for Sherlock as a show sad

LetUsPrey Thu 13-Dec-12 23:38:08
Frankelstein Sat 15-Dec-12 08:53:05
LetUsPrey Sat 15-Dec-12 20:15:58

I know what I want, and it isn't a t-shirt grin

Ok, so I went to see The Hobbit. Really enjoyed it... but no bloody Star Trek trailer!!! Why why why? I was soooo looking forward to it!

Frankelstein Sun 16-Dec-12 20:09:02

That's disappointing holmes sad

How adorable is this picture?

LetUsPrey Sun 16-Dec-12 20:51:06

Is it the case that the Star Trek trailer is only on at the iMax showings of The Hobbit? Still going to take DS1 to watch The Hobbit whether he particularly wants to or not

Oooh, they've just been showing Frankel on Sports Personality of the Year. Thought of you Frankelstein grin

Frankelstein Sun 16-Dec-12 21:44:02

I thought "normal" screenings got a trailer and IMAX got the first 9 minutes.

Saw Frankel grin - he should have been a nominee angry

LetUsPrey Sun 16-Dec-12 23:07:18

Will report back after DS1 and I have seen The Hobbit.

Photos from Cabin Pressure

His eyes in this photo - rather nice

And always happy to see this

Frankelstein Mon 17-Dec-12 07:42:00

According to Twitter, the new Star Trek trailer is being released at 8.30am Califonia time today - about 4.30pm ish for us <squee>

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 17-Dec-12 09:52:33

So is Benedict in the Hobbit film, or is he just going to turn up in the later ones?
Bit confused; I didn't think he was in this one but then read a tweet saying 'I didn't know BC was in this until I saw his name in the end credits.'

I still don't think I can sit through the film though, even for Benedict.

Frankelstein Mon 17-Dec-12 10:11:37

From my understanding The Necromancer features very briefly in this first film, hence the credit. His main role will be in parts 2 and 3.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 17-Dec-12 11:47:37

Ah, I see. So definitely not worth going along, and just sleeping/eating popcorn in the between-Benedict bits then. grin

I am actually considering seeing whichever ones he's in as the dragon. He's such a great physical actor and I bet he does a terrific job. But can I sit through 2 x 3 hours of Hobbit boredom???

I'm looking forward to watching The Hobbit on Friday at the local cinema (original English version, so I get to hear Benedict!).

Watched Love Actually last night, and later fell asleep debating myself about who Benedict could replace. I could imagine him in practically every role, except maybe Alan Rickman's role, and that's only because of the character's age. Thoughts?

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 17-Dec-12 15:48:36

Anyone seen this non story?

Can't believe the way people get hounded by the paps, still.

LadyClarice - definitely not worth it for a non-Hobbit-fan! The Necromancer appears for about 5 seconds as a figure in the shadows. You couldn't even tell it was BC!

Frankelstein Mon 17-Dec-12 16:43:18

Star Trek trailer is out!!!!!

I can't link to it and haven't watched it yet, but links are on Twitter. The video has been released via iTunes so probably isn't on You Tube just yet (12 mins after its release!)

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 17-Dec-12 16:46:50

Thanks, holmes!

Frankelstein Mon 17-Dec-12 17:52:01

HERE IT IS!!!!!!!!!!

LetUsPrey Mon 17-Dec-12 20:36:54

Not sure when I'll get to the cinema with DS1 to see The Hobbit. Our local cinema is right next to a huge Tesco. I really don't think I'll be going anywhere near that this weekend!

That story is ridiculous isn't LadyClarice? I would imagine it's quite scary/intimidating.

Have watched the trailer but with the sound off. It looks EPIC!

LetUsPrey Tue 18-Dec-12 08:25:00

That should obviously read "isn't it LadyClarice ?"

Have watched trailer with sound. Even more epic!

LadyClariceCannockMonty Tue 18-Dec-12 11:27:57

Yes, I really feel for both of them. It's that kind of thing that starts slebs going around with security guards, not getting public transport or walking the streets any more, etc. I really hope it doesn't happen to Benedict.

Haven't watched the trailer yet. Saving it for a when-I-finish-work treat!

LadyClarice, that previous link doesn't work. I managed to find another one (from ScifinewsDE, I think) that hadn't been pulled yet.

Also hope that Benedict won't let the paps get to him. (And not just because I hope to make it to London sometime in the next six months and will be using public transport...Stranger things have happened!)

LadyClariceCannockMonty Tue 18-Dec-12 13:46:07

grin Well, every time I get the tube I indulge in a mini-fantasy about Benedict being on it.

Watched the trailer. GOOD voice work, say I.

Am thinking naughty, naughty thought when I hear him say "You think you are safe. You are not." Hardware may or may not be involved.

And LadyClarice, now you've got me going. Remember that scene in "Risky Business" when they were in some train? Yeah. I'll be taking a cold shower now.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Wed 19-Dec-12 10:30:38

Sadly, I don't remember that ... which obviously means it's too long since I saw Risky Business! Must rectify that.

LadyClarice, just go to YouTube and search "Risky Business train". Lots of hits. [fans self]

LetUsPrey Wed 19-Dec-12 19:31:44

Isn't Risky Business the one with Tom Cruise?

One of my favourite bits from A Study In Pink

Love this picture

That's the one, Prey, long before he got all...weird. Since DH is an orthodontist, we love watching his old movies where his teeth are all wonky. (He was missing a tooth, so his middle line [i.e. facial symmetry] was shifted....)

Oh God, Cumberbuddy has posted a series of sex gifs...I'm SUNK.

LetUsPrey Wed 19-Dec-12 23:50:56

<sprints to Tumblr>

This is one of favourite photos of him ever

Those gifs! Wow grin

Listen to the sound excerpt on Cumberbuddy - I think it says it's from The Pillow Book.

Looking at this photo of his legs is like looking at an anatomy textbook. Well, like an anatomy textbook that is published by a company that also publishes porn.

Am currently vetting the red wine we selected for Christmas dinner. Seeing as I'm halfway through the bottle already, I don't really give a toss how the damn goose will taste if this stuff is on the table. [hiccup]

LetUsPrey Fri 21-Dec-12 18:15:41

He does have rather nice legs, doesn't he?

Very strong legs I would imagine. Very powerful. Yes, strong and powerful and .. and .. back in a bit.

Where was I? Have a picture of his hand

This is funny grin

Just came back from the cinema -- The Hobbit. It was...meh. I thought Martin was great (when he was actually on screen), but even thought I loved the original LOTR trilogy, I actually fell asleep twice. My favorite parts of the movie:

- seeing the ST:ID trailer (even though Debbie-Downer DH kept saying it was "too dark" -- well duh, you did read the title, right??)
- seeing Benedict's bulked up silhouette for 2 seconds.

OK, enjoy this. I'm going to be in my bunk and hope to Christ that my kids don't wake up at 5 am like they did yesterday and proceed to fight on the stairs (which are tiled and therefore echo like crazy and make me think I live in an indoor pool).

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Sat 22-Dec-12 10:03:54

I saw The Hobbit last night too, but I loved it grin. If you listen very carefully when the Necromancer appears briefly you can hear BC's voice whispering.

Only disappointment for me was no Star Trek trailer sad

LetUsPrey Sun 23-Dec-12 20:50:51

It's nearly Christmas so:

Might be back with more later. grin

Oh my god, I forgot how young he looks in the pilot. He looks like a teenager who's just growing into his man's body. (Which doesn't in the least make me not want him. Just makes me feel a little dirty doing it. What's that saying? "15 will get you 20"?)

Happy Christmas all!

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Sun 23-Dec-12 21:24:15

Hurrah for Pilotbatch <stares lustily> wink

More on Star Trek villainy

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Mon 24-Dec-12 10:33:59

To quote Wayne's World Schawing grin

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Mon 24-Dec-12 10:35:54

I dear lord, I've just noticed the handcuffs. I'm, erm, I mean, er, <babbles>

I keep telling myself, 'Tis the season to NOT think smutty thoughts, 'tis the season NOT to think smutty thoughts....And then Frankel goes and posts that picture...

Good thing New Year's Resolutions don't take effect for another few days.

LetUsPrey Mon 24-Dec-12 13:43:21

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Mon 24-Dec-12 14:07:17

I'm famous!!!!! Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see that the comment was submitted by FirstOfficerCavey - aka ME! grin

LetUsPrey Mon 24-Dec-12 17:10:04

Ooooo, get you Frankel grin

A little Christmas present to myself Gingerbatch

And this is BC watching me undress after a night out together

This is the cover and article from Empire magazine. <faint>

As pointed out on Cumberbuddy's Tumblr (I love Cumberbuddy) look at the size of BC's hands compared to Chris Pine's

Comments by Chris Pine. Intimidating? Searingly intelligent? <gulp>

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Mon 24-Dec-12 21:41:03

iPad users can download the latest issue of Empire Magazine for just 69p - limited time only so get downloading!

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Tue 25-Dec-12 10:49:29

Merry Christmas everyone!

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Wed 26-Dec-12 17:22:52

Atonement is on ITV1 tonight at 11.15. Tune in if you want to see CreepyBatch. So very very wrong, but I still would blush

Booty call!

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. My two kids managed to catch colds, so DS1 was feverish Christmas Eve, and DS2 was feverish most of today. Didn't stop either of them from getting up at the crack of dawn yesterday (DS1 at 4, DS2 at 6:20). Santa is on the naughty list.

LetUsPrey Wed 26-Dec-12 20:46:32

Have the Sky+ set already for Atonementgrin and I've got TTSS recorded/downloaded. Creepybatch and Fightybatch.

Loving the Empire cover picture. HandcuffBatch. <mind wanders> I seem to recall Sherlock was handcuffed at one point. <mind wanders some more>.

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Thu 27-Dec-12 21:26:06

X-posts with you there Prey. How cute is that picture?!

LetUsPrey Fri 28-Dec-12 08:43:51

Does anyone have the 12 Days of Christmas app? It's free to download and then each day you get a free treat from iTunes starting from 26th December. It's usually an EP or something. Today however you can download A Study in Pink for free! I mean I know I've got it on bluray but it was still a jolly nice surprise and I'll be able to watch snippets at work. Which obviously I won't. grin

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Fri 28-Dec-12 11:29:18

I've just seen that too Prey, downloading as we speak grin

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Fri 28-Dec-12 20:20:33

BC's year in 12 pictures grin

I'm torn between 4 and 5 wink

LetUsPrey Fri 28-Dec-12 20:25:52

Personally, I can't decide between 1-12 grin

LetUsPrey Sat 29-Dec-12 17:32:02

I'm sorry but this made me properly laugh grin

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Sat 29-Dec-12 18:28:13

[[ Swoon] <faints dead away>

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Sat 29-Dec-12 18:28:33

Trying again:

LetUsPrey Sat 29-Dec-12 18:34:52

Awwwwwww! That beautiful little baby boy is looking up at Benedict Cumberbatch and thinking "Excuse me, but everyone is supposed to looking at me. Take your cheekbones and your curls elsewhere. I can probably get you LetUsPrey's address."

Okay, probably not that last bit grin

LetUsPrey Sun 30-Dec-12 20:09:32

Stubblybatch is one of my favourites. I think that's from Wreckeds. Loved him in that - he was amazing and totally shaggable

LetUsPrey Sun 30-Dec-12 20:10:30

FFS. Wreckers.

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Sun 30-Dec-12 23:44:36
LetUsPrey Mon 31-Dec-12 08:36:42

I can think of some words grin

Good morning from rehearsals

MrsAceRimmer Mon 31-Dec-12 10:20:05

I've not posted on this thread (well the previous one) for ages and probably before my NC.
I would just like to say thank you to the lovely poster who pointed me in the right direction to make a text alert sound.
My phone now says 'damn good shag' in BCs voice every time I get a text. gringrin

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Mon 31-Dec-12 12:25:04

Glad it worked for you MrsAceRimmer grin

You know, tomorrow it will be 1 year since A Scandal in Belgravia was on TV? shock Where does the time go?

Oh, how I wish... (And I am loving the rubber duckie and bunny slippers!)

Wishing all my fellow BCAS-members a wonderful start to 2013!

LetUsPrey Mon 31-Dec-12 14:45:36

Hurrah for Damn Good Shag text alert MrsAceRimmer (whoever you used to be smile)! I also have "good cop or bad cop - bad copy", "money or sex - sex", and "right, we'll start with the riding crop" as text alert options.

Can't believe it's almost a year since A Scandal in Belgravia. On a positive side, every day is a day closer to them starting filming the third series. And a day closer to Star Trek.

I've made wishes like that and none of them have come true. Had an interesting daydream whilst at work this morning though which made me grin a lot.

LetUsPrey Mon 31-Dec-12 23:15:36
LetUsPrey Tue 01-Jan-13 18:29:50

So, I'm at my mum's today and I'm having a look through the Radio Times. I turn a page to be met with a picture of BC and MF as Sherlock and John in an article detailing the Top 40 programmes of 2012 as voted by the TV critics. Sherlock was top with this review:

"An opening episode in which Sherlock Holmes visited Buckingham Palace dressed only in a bed sheet, and (almost) met his match in the form of whip-smart dominatrix Irene Adler, helped prove that “brainy is the new sexy” as Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat's superlative detective drama triumphantly returned in January. Next came a hi-tech spin on Conan Doyle classic The Hound of the Baskervilles; and then the best 90 minutes of TV this year, packed with twists and subtle clues. Benedict Cumberbatch smouldered throughout but later admitted that he, like us, had been reduced to tears by Martin Freeman’s performance as the grief-stricken John Watson, who thought he saw his best friend die. A searing turn from Andrew Scott as criminal genius Moriarty – by turns camp and deadly – completed a mesmerising climax, ending in a cliffhanger that will go down in television history. Just how did Holmes survive that plunge from the roof of St Bart’s Hospital? We'll find out in 2013 but, for now, Sherlock is top of our critics' poll by a mile."

Couldn't agree more. Made me very smile

Prey, what a lovely article! (Completely agree, btw)

And there isn't a nicer way to start the new year than this, no? grin wine Cheers, all!

Ha! Now I know who these photos remind me of -- Fred MacMurray! I had a crush on him in those Disney films (sort of) when I was a girl, but can appreciate him more as a grown-up in "Double Indemnity"...

Bonus: jibbers incoherently

For Prey...I believe you wrote once you had found something at M&S that had "le bear polar" on them...

Someone found Arthur Shappey's PowerPoint slides and posted them on Tumblr.

FrankelcenseAndMyhrr Wed 02-Jan-13 20:17:08

Love that PowerPoint GreenCard grin

I hope someone has tweeted a link to John Finnemore!

LetUsPrey Wed 02-Jan-13 20:44:29

I was wearing them yesterday in fact NeedsAGreenCard! Love the polar bear PowerPoint.

I do love a man in uniform grin

Frankel, there goes my Twitter to speak. It was either that or Tweet that DS2 is carrying on the family tradition of embarrassing parents in restaurants by yelling on Christmas "Grandma, where are your panties?" Luckily a) he's 3 so he generally gets a pass and b) he did it in English and seeing as we were in rural Germany, I doubt (hope??) anyone understood him.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 02-Jan-13 21:44:28

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 03-Jan-13 08:22:11

Bottom right is oh so wrong (bad BC for smoking), but oh so sexy grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Thu 03-Jan-13 10:02:18

I'm not actually keen on that Jack Nicholson-esque smoking shot, but I do generally love Benedict smoking. humana humana

Cabin Pressure!!!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 03-Jan-13 10:27:58

Yay for Cabin Pressure dates!!!!

MrsAceRimmer Thu 03-Jan-13 12:57:59

Ooh thanks Letusprey, I'm going to add them too I think grin
I'm still enjoying your links, but hardly post on here as you all have it covered. Hope you all had a lovey Xmas & New Year.

Trailer for new Cabin Pressure at 1:30:35...

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 03-Jan-13 17:03:05

Just listened to the advert - Flightdeck Buckaroo sounds, to quote Arthur, AMAZING grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 03-Jan-13 17:08:53

Just read an online article about JJ Abrams letting a terminally ill Star Trek fan watch ST:ID. A very sad story, but a lovely gesture.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 03-Jan-13 17:10:14

Oh god I'm stupid! Naturally in my earlier post I meant that Flightdeck Buckaroo would be BRILLIANT hmm

<goes off in search of lost brain cell>

LetUsPrey Thu 03-Jan-13 21:54:20

Had a great Christmas and New Year, thanks MrsAceRimmer smile

Not clicked on the CP links yet. Not had chance. Can't wait for next Wednesday though. DS1 is very excited about it too!

A still from Star Trek. <gulp> at the chest and the arms

And another one. Not sure how I'm going to get through ST:ID without squeeeeing! I will have to practice by watching TTSS with DH.

MrsAceRimmer Fri 04-Jan-13 12:53:11

Have downloaded the first two series on Cabin Pressure - never listened to it before smile
Looking forward to it.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Fri 04-Jan-13 13:01:17

You'll love it! It's bonkers and brilliant wink

MrsAceRimmer Fri 04-Jan-13 22:50:30

Haha not laughed so much for a wee while! Just listened to Abu Dhabi & Kramona(?) grin

LetUsPrey Sat 05-Jan-13 08:37:06

You need to get series three too. Ottery St Mary is a classic and St Petersburg is a personal favourite.

Ipswich, which I think is series two, is also a favourite.

MrsAceRimmer Sat 05-Jan-13 21:36:00

Series 3 is being downloaded as we speak smile
DH is in bed manflu ill, and DCs are sleeping. Watching my Sherlock DVDs which DH thoughtfully got me for Xmas.

I just can't...

Oh, how I wish I could get a copy of this...

Always needs reposting

Trailer for S4E1 of Cabin Pressure!!! This one has Martin and Carolyn. If you want the first clip, with Mr. Birling and Carolyn, click here.

My kids are nagging DH and me to get a pet.

Only if I can get these...

Ponders Sat 05-Jan-13 22:42:21

I've been listening to Cabin Pressure for years but only noticed on tonight's trailer that Benedict Cumberbatch is in it - not that he does anything for me, but I have heard his name so much in the last year or so...

given his career projectory I'm stunned he's still doing it really (but it does sound like a fun thing to do, & I love John Finnemore grin)

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Sat 05-Jan-13 23:05:07

He is a master performer Ponders grin Pure sex on legs too grin grin

LetUsPrey Sat 05-Jan-13 23:11:42

Can't wait for next Wednesday. I've got some John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme to tide me over until then grin

LetUsPrey Sun 06-Jan-13 19:34:08

Just had a look at the Cabin Pressure page on Wikipedia. I cannot believe I've never noticed before, but the episodes are done alphabetically! For some reason, a few episodes in series one and two were broadcast out of order, but they are alphabetical! I feel a bit silly blush

Abu Dhabi, Boston, Cremona, Douz, Edinburgh, Fitton .....

Also, went to watch The Hobbit with DS1 this afternoon. It was incredible! Completely loved it. Martin Freeman was more awesome than awesome itself.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 07-Jan-13 06:32:28

grin @ Prey not noticing the alphabetical titles wink. I think Series 3 got out of order because BC was ill and had to miss a recording.

Can't wait till Wednesday : first new BC fix of the year grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 07-Jan-13 08:10:56

Oo er, not sure i like the sound of the last episode of Cabin Pressure <worries>

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 07-Jan-13 08:12:26

Sorry, should have said, there are no spoilers for the episodes recorded yesterday, but it does discuss a bit about what went on.

Arse Fiddler! < you'll have to read the link to get that wink

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 07-Jan-13 09:28:30

Frankelly, I read that review and I'm a bit concerned too! But mainly intrigued.

I know Benedict is in the background in this CP photo, but I think he looks gorgeous; really unself-conscious.

Still on the subject of radio, has anyone mentioned this?

LetUsPrey Mon 07-Jan-13 22:19:04

Very intriguing!

On the subject of me not noticing stuff and being a bit dim, how did I not notice that John Finnemore is sometimes in the programme Miranda? Just watching tonight's episode and there he is!

How I get through life is a mystery blush

Just Number 5?!

I'm loving the peek-a-boo scarf down south...

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 08-Jan-13 13:00:40

Guess what I'm thinking wink grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Tue 08-Jan-13 13:36:18

Is that Liv Tyler mention just a rehash of the old non-story when they were papped leaving a cinema 'together', or new?

[need a life]

I haven't watched the video, but these stills are gorgeous.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 08-Jan-13 15:29:07

I suspect it's another rehash. Why bother doing any actual journalism? wink

Sherlock is up for two National TV Awards - get voting!!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 08-Jan-13 19:36:21

File this under "Oldie but goodie".

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 09-Jan-13 11:06:16

God I love those lips grin

Not long till the first episode of Series 4 Cabin Pressure grin I've checked online and tonight's episode is titled Timbuktu and once again it's Birling Day!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 09-Jan-13 20:37:57

Loved Timbuktu tonight grin

LetUsPrey Wed 09-Jan-13 20:45:55

Recorded it using Sky+ and listened to it about an hour ago with DS1. Absolutely loved it! Can't wait for next week grin

MrsAceRimmer Wed 09-Jan-13 22:41:07

That was brilliant!
top picture mmmm

MrsAceRimmer Wed 09-Jan-13 22:46:17

oops linked to wrong page sad
hope this one works lovely - must be an old photo, but yum grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 10-Jan-13 21:18:19

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sun 13-Jan-13 11:30:06

Oooh, that's pretty!

As for the top one of these, oh, how I wish I could say,

"Mom, meet your new son-in-law!" God, how I wish...

Does anyone need a new ringtone? The blog Dudeufugly has an exhaustive list of links to plays, readings of poems, ringtones (*Prey*, I'm looking at you) and various other goodies, apparently free (although not too sure about the legality of it all)....

Here's the blog entry to this cornucopia of wonderfulness:

This also includes him imitating Alan Rickman singing "Candle In The Wind" (which I'm pretty sure is taken from his interview with French & Saunders, which is also downloadable on this list).

Bliss, I tell you...BLISS.

MrsAceRimmer Sun 13-Jan-13 22:39:51

Am totally caught up with Cabin Pressure now - looking forward to Weds evening now smile
Still drooling over my copy of Empire magazine - bloody hell the cover photo (faints)

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 14-Jan-13 07:06:19

Boooo! BC lost out on the Golden Globe to Kevin Costner angry

That he lost out to Kevin Costner is simply further proof that my country (at least those running these award shows) has lost its collective mind. sad

He'd better get a BAFTA, though. Or else there might be a legion of BCASers that will descend like locusts to exact revenge. (Sorry, it's been a bitch of a morning -- unexpected snowfall made most drivers forget basic training, so the commute took twice as long as it should have.)

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 14-Jan-13 21:41:49
FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 16-Jan-13 17:59:01

Where are you all???!!!

Don't forget, Cabin Pressure tonight at 6.30 grin

LetUsPrey Wed 16-Jan-13 22:31:12

Sorry not been around. RL stuff. Hoping to listen to CP with DS1 tomorrow.

Has anyone seen TheAddict anywhere?

I wanted to listen to Uskerty this morning on the way to work, but apparently the BBC iPlayer doesn't work outside of the UK. I wonder if the "Tunnelbear" tool will work to get around it.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 17-Jan-13 21:20:09

I haven't seen Addict about for ages sad I hope all is well with her & her boys.

Bit of a spoiler for lasts night's Cabin Pressure wink

I just.... well... um... I'll be back in a minute....

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sat 19-Jan-13 13:38:33

I'm here! Briefly, though; v busy in RL. Really want to listen to Copenhagen as it vanishes from the iPlayer today, but don't know if I'll have time. sad

Lady Clarice, sorry didn't make the connection with the changed nick! Glad to see you're still here! Hope all is well, even if things are busy.

Christ Almighty...

Oh, the fringe...

BTW, Prey, I've started on Doctor Who...and I'm understanding the Barrowman thing. Too bad he plays for the other team...

Hello all. Just listened to the first two episodes of Cabin Pressure series 4. Bloody brilliant! I'm going to have to get round to listening to series 1-3.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 22-Jan-13 22:01:39

<runs in in a panic>

You fell off my Active Threads shock

Very chuffed to read that BC will be an honorary director of the Cambridge Science Festival in March and has said how much he's looking forward to attending. How very convenient that I live a mere 20 minute drive from Cambridge grin <faints>

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 22-Jan-13 22:03:01

Err, not sure I'm loving this look

Eeeew! The hair!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 22-Jan-13 22:26:12

I know! It's causing real conflict for me. On the one hand it's BC so surely it must be sexy, but on the other hand.. No. Just no!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 22-Jan-13 22:27:23

Of course WAYW are on the case already grin

MrsAceRimmer Wed 23-Jan-13 08:46:15

Gads that's horrible hmm nasty hair.

ITA about AssangeBatch's look -- ICK. Reminds me of those toady kids at school who spent ALL their time holed up in front of their computers and were just horrible to other kids (even if the computer geniuses could run rings around the others intellectually). I think BC's going to do a fabulous job with the role, but it will definitely be the equivalent of a cold shower. (Bring back the Purple Shirt of Sex and GingerBatch, please!!!)

Am looking forward to the new ep. of Cabin Pressure tonight, though!

BTW, this link is hopefully the visual equivalent of mouthwash after viewing AssangeBatch.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 23-Jan-13 10:26:32

Phew! That's much better GreenCard grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 23-Jan-13 16:18:40

Don't forget the National Television Awards tonight - Sherlock is up as is BC for Best Actor!

LadyClariceCannockMonty Wed 23-Jan-13 18:27:31

Greencard, no, I'm LadyClarice (always have been), not Addict! I was responding to Frankelly's 'Where are you all???!!!'

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 23-Jan-13 20:07:52

Here we go!!!!!!!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 23-Jan-13 20:11:22

Nooooo! We was robbed! shock The bloody kid from Merlin? WTAF?!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 23-Jan-13 22:13:08

Utterly shameful! No awards at all!

Though Martin Freeman's reaction to losing out to Downton Abbey is hilarious grin

I could use a stiff drink. Or I'll just look at this for a little while...

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 24-Jan-13 20:17:34

Fantastic interview with BC from Shortlist Magazine.

I want frozen peas now.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Fri 25-Jan-13 11:18:21

Have you seen the quote circulating about his costume in Star Trek being so tight "you can almost see what religion I am"? wink

Only 3 and a half months to go! grin

I did see that. Wasn't that part of a red-carpet interview before the Golden Globes?

He's such a tease. He knows EXACTLY what will set perfectly grounded adults fangirling... And we can't get enough of it

Mmmmm. Tight costume. And swishy coat. So I was idly thinking, as one does... from those hideous lanky blonde photos, it looks like that role is going to be BC's least sexy one. The question is, which character would you MOST like to see him play? In terms of maximum phwoar factor? Can be actual fictional character, or character-type. <disclaimer: I haven't thought of an answer yet myself, but am enjoying thinking about it... grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Fri 25-Jan-13 14:42:57

I'm going to be very predictable and say I'd like to see him play Dracula, or similar. Ever since he mentioned in an interview that he'd seen a script for a new Dracula film I've been thinking about it. A lot! grin

To be honest I've had a thing for vampires since discovering Buffy as a hormonal teenager (hmm, Spike) and the thought of BC nibbling on my neck is enough to put me over the edge grin [faints]

Ooh definitely, Frankel. I'm a big Buffy fan too. I can just see BC in Spike's coat... So, vampire is definitely a yes.
Personally I'd like to see him in a period film, playing someone with a bit of swagger!
I can't wait for Star Trek though. I loved the first one even without BC. My only worry is whether I'll be able to restrain myself from squealing and making other inappropriate noises in front of dh in the cinema.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Fri 25-Jan-13 16:18:19

DH has already figured out my BC obsession interest. He keeps mocking me about wanting to see Star Trek hmm He's fine with it though because my Cumbersurfing means he gets all the latest on ST:ID and Hobbit news grin

Oh dh knows alright, but I try not to flaunt it too much! I think he is somehow offended that the object of my admiration is so unlike him physically and, to be fair, unlike the type I normally go for. He claims that the ones he fancies (I.e. Scarlett Johanssen) are not so dissimilar to me. Yeah right. Absolutely.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Sun 27-Jan-13 09:09:39

Aww, missed it sad

It is on YouTube though grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 28-Jan-13 20:49:41

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 29-Jan-13 19:41:39

Lets see if this old favourite doesn't flush you all out grin

Thanks, Frankel!

DH is out for the evening, boys are in bed, and now I'm sitting here trying to make sense of what he's saying at 0:26 -- the first album he bought. Can anyone help? All I'm hearing is "Now" and "24"...

The lip bite at 1:24 is killing me.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 29-Jan-13 20:04:24

Yes the album is "Now 24". They are a series of compilation albums. This is it grin

LetUsPrey Tue 29-Jan-13 20:26:32

Have been dying (over dramatic) with the dreaded Norovirus. Too poorly even for BC sad

Hope to be back in the land of the living in the next few days.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 29-Jan-13 20:53:07

Oh poor you Prey sad Hope you are on the mend.

Thanks, Frankel! But if that album is from 1993, that means he was 17 when he bought his first album? Jeezum, I bought my first one when I was, um, 8 or 9. (Best of Blondie, for what it's worth.)

I have seen those before, I think I might even have one of the Christmas ones in the basement somewhere...

Prey, I hope you feel better soon! That's a horrible thing to deal with! Hope you have someone to keep you supplied with a bucket and soft toilet paper. (Sorry, TMI, but those are the things I want when I've got a dodgy tummy.)

Hmm...another one of those Amazon recommendation e-mails just rolled in. What's of interest to me today (according to Amazon)?

- To The Ends Of The Earth (for €2.95)
- Third Star (€22.99)
- Parade's End (€32.99!! -- got such a better deal from the UK site)
- Fortysomething (€14.99)
- Starter For Ten (€5)
- Miss Marple Series 4 (€15.98)
- Amazing Grace (€4.99)

And I swear my recent searches were NOT BC-related. There must be a psychic connection. Or they're mining my other open tabs.

Speaking of which, there's this, this, and this bit of eye porn.

Oh, and here's the preview for the Cabin Pressure episode "Wokingham"....

Lady Clarice, did you get a chance to listen to Copenhagen before it disappeared from the player?

If not, here's a link...

LadyClariceCannockMonty Wed 30-Jan-13 16:09:40

No, well only about 10 minutes at the beginning, so THANKS! thanks
(although I'm not sure I'll be able to make that link/site work – do you have to sign up and pay?) [computer moron].

Get well soon, Prey. thanks

I'm sort of back but still a bit bleuuurrrggghhh. Hopefully, the stressful start to the year in our house and families is over for January and things will settle. However, if the rest of 2013 is going to be like this, I'd just like to fast forward to 2014 - pausing for a few days in May to watch Star Trek.

The recent links have been lush grin

Listened to Vaduz and Wokingham yesterday and today. Both brilliant!

On a saucier note, had an interesting snippet of a dream this morning. BC was there, so was I. I was <ahem> kneeling down. It was very vivid. grin

Lady Clarice, no, that link is free. Someone recorded it off the radio, so you have a bit of talking before and after the actual play. The audio is a tad quiet (I listened to it while driving to work today, having put it on my phone, but had to drive with the speaker next to my ear, I am SO lucky I didn't get pulled over -- Germany has a strict hands-free mobile-in-car use policy...).

You can sign up and pay to avoid ads, but they don't bother me and I'm the world's biggest cheapskate. Free Batch files make up for it. I posted a link on 13 Jan. to a Tumblr post where you can find all kinds of audio files, including ringtones. (Not vouching for the legality of any of it, so click at your own risk.)

Prey, glad to see you're back among the living. That dream sounds....nice. I assume at least one of you got some follicles...stimulated?

If your January went anywhere as fast as mine did, May will be here before you know it. grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sun 03-Feb-13 14:01:17

Thanks, GreenCard.

Welcome back, Prey!

Frankelly, oooooh just imagine bumping into that as you strolled innocently down some Hampstead pavement ...

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Sun 03-Feb-13 18:00:26

New Trailer

"I am better"
"At what?"

No. Shit.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 04-Feb-13 08:44:16

I'd like the chance to put him to the test all the same. Y'know, for research wink

MrsAceRimmer Mon 04-Feb-13 10:43:00

Aww I was going to selflessly volunteer to put his claim to the test wink, but Frankel got there first!

LetUsPrey Mon 04-Feb-13 19:46:53

I think you'll find, going back historically through the threads, there's a rota system in place grin

I think it all stemmed from the interview where he said "I'm a fucking fantastic lover" <takes a moment to breathe>

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 04-Feb-13 19:53:03

Either that Prey, or 2.10 and 2.17 into our old favourite grin

LetUsPrey Mon 04-Feb-13 20:01:14

Without clicking on the link, is that "Money or sex?" "Mmmmm, sex" and "Good cop, bad cop?" "Bad cop"?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 04-Feb-13 20:02:06

You know me too well Prey grin

Please tell me, Frankel, that you don't have those times memorized. Because if you do, I bow to your superiority!

And I'd like to reserve my place in line to test his theory that's be better at everything. I know it snakes around the corner, but I'm patient.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 04-Feb-13 20:53:04

Sadly no, I had to watch it again to get the times <martyr> grin

megcleary Mon 04-Feb-13 20:58:25

Does this link work?

Frankel, you know what you have for homework now, don't you? grin Tough assignment...

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 04-Feb-13 21:34:21

For my birthday I received a gift certificate to Amazon ("for hours of Cumberbatch-able fun" read the card, my friend knows me well) so I bought a copy of "Fortysomething" and TTEE. The latter hasn't arrived yet, so this morning I started with Fortysomething. He's SO YOUNG in the role! And I caught myself yellin at the TV, "How the hell can you f* his brother when you could have Benedict, you moron!!" Good thing no one else was home at the time.

My god, what I wouldn't do to be on the receiving end of one of these smiles...

TinkerTailorSoldierSahm Tue 05-Feb-13 21:09:25

Dropping into say hi! Love Benedict but am a Tom Hardy girl at heart but big fan of the Cumberbatch.

Nice to see you, Tinker!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 05-Feb-13 21:19:03

Stay a while Tinker, we may convert you wink

TinkerTailorSoldierSahm Tue 05-Feb-13 21:24:43

I'm happy to stay a while but I don't think you'll have much luck! smile

Don't think I like the writing on the wall in "Xinzhou", not at all.

I think I need this.

God DAMN. [faints dead away]

MrsAceRimmer Wed 06-Feb-13 23:26:08

I know, it's sounding ominous hmm
Sausages last week, bacon this week, do you think they're building up to a full English breakfast? grin

Lottapianos Thu 07-Feb-13 17:47:54

Ok, after months of thinking you lot were off your heads, I now get it. I saw an episode of HIGNFY on Dave last week and BC was hosting. And dear god you were right all along! And last night I had my first BC dream! And I really didn't want to wake up I can tell you.....

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Thu 07-Feb-13 20:06:04

He'll get you in the end - you've been Cumberbatched grin

Enjoying this series of Cabin Pressure so much but getting a bit worried for next week - Yverdon-Les-Bains which, according to Google, is in Switzerland.

One of my favourite photoshoots

A still from Wreckers - I do like Gingerbatch grin

Hair, coat, boots ...

Oh, it's nice to be back smile

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Fri 08-Feb-13 08:47:13

Welcome back Prey, glad you are better grin

A perfect Friday morning treat, to quote another poster on Cumberbatchweb, "like a psychotic bundle of snuggles" grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Fri 08-Feb-13 10:28:20

The 'My Cultural Life' interview is just adorable isn't it? I love the hand when he says he prefers Lennon to McCartney and then apologises.

I'm always a bit disappointed that he chooses Grace Kelly over Grace Jones though.

Loving Cabin Pressure! I am listening to the current series while also going back and listening to the rest from the beginning for the first time. Great links, everyone. NeedsAGreenCard, that Star Trek picture.... shock Thud.

Was just reading on Tumblr that one fan wants the last Cabin Pressure to take place in Zwickau. Because its airfield is located on Reichenbach Strasse. How cool is that?

Anyway, more fun links:

Thank you, Prey. Kids stole my last functioning brain cell this afternoon.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Fri 08-Feb-13 22:00:58

I have imagined it many a time. It's quiet, but deep, like a rumble. TBH not dissimilar to his "you think you are safe" from the ST:ID trailer grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sat 09-Feb-13 09:31:00

I imagine it at least once a day occasionally too and it's quite soft but husky, with a warm undercurrent, almost like a 'laugh' in the voice.

Lady Clarice, just once? ;)

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sat 09-Feb-13 11:37:00

Well, no.

It's a fair cop. grin

LetUsPrey Sat 09-Feb-13 11:41:59

All. The. Time.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sat 09-Feb-13 13:24:50

This is rather lovely.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sat 09-Feb-13 13:47:54

Also, on a non-Benedict note but a propos the Twitter feed I got that pic from:

Ben Whishaw usually does nothing for me, but this photo is for some reason making me feel a bit funny in my tummy

LetUsPrey Sat 09-Feb-13 17:36:33

BC will always be my number one, but I see your Ben Whishaw and raise you Nicholas Hoult

<ignores the fact that he's only just 23>

Prey, I raise you a Colin Firth in the bath with wine.

LetUsPrey Sat 09-Feb-13 19:45:02

I have a friend who would really appreciate that picture of Colin Firth grin

Love that Frankenstein Creature photograph

This is funny

Never get tired of this

Never have I wanted to sit on a settee more in my life grin

Holy balls.

Makes me wonder if Lego Benedict (John Harrison) will beat up on Lego Martin (Bilbo Baggins). Oh, how wonderful it is to have boys!!! Now I can legitimately buy these for me them and then I get to play with them!

Lottapianos Sun 10-Feb-13 09:30:04

I think there's room for two of us on that sofa LetUsPrey!

The only way to make this gif set better, would be to have the shirt wet and Benedict coming out of a lake. (Yes, I've been watching THAT scene out of Pride & Prejudice)

Now...which one of you had the lip fetish again?

And let's not forget The BBC's Silly Name Competition

Last but not least, I'd be happy to reattach those buttons...later.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 11-Feb-13 10:35:38

Neither Nick Hoult nor Colin Firth get me hot under the collar at all. I might have a tiny new Ben W crush coming on though ...

Wow, that's weird to say. I am famous in my house anyway for not liking or getting him. grin

Enjoyed those Benedict lip shots. He has the most beautiful bottom lip. I love his lips in that Frankenstein's creature shot too.But this remains my favourite lips shot (and cheekbones and eyes): Yum

Also, that last link – that top shot is gorgeous. Looks completely unguarded and natural. Messy hair, beautiful hand ...
<<drifts off>>

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 11-Feb-13 10:53:21
FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 11-Feb-13 10:53:28

The lip shots are gorgeous.

The best ones (of his lips) are from Study in Pink when he's sat in the lab with cabby <swoon>

(That's a swoon for the lips, not the cabby BTW!)

LetUsPrey Mon 11-Feb-13 22:58:42

Those lips - biteable and then lickable grin

MrsAceRimmer Mon 11-Feb-13 23:47:19

That one does funny things to my insides Prey

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 13-Feb-13 15:10:40

There's a picture of BC on the BBC News homepage grin it's advertising an article about blokes called Benedict (tenuous link to the Pope's resignation).

Direct link to Frankel's article.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Wed 13-Feb-13 15:56:06

Very tenuous indeed. grin

'I even spotted him on the street not long ago, and only just resisted the urge to attempt a spot of Benedict-on-Benedict bonding.'

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 13-Feb-13 16:00:26

I admire anyone who can shoe-horn BC into an article grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty Wed 13-Feb-13 16:29:09

Yes, fair point. Crap picture though, considering all the yummy ones there are to choose from.

This one, for example

Or this

Ring a ding ding

Sorry, got a bit carried away. Any excuse ...

Lottapianos Wed 13-Feb-13 17:06:01

Bloody hell LadyClarice! That third photo just made me say 'Dear God!' out loud. I'm standing at a bus stop, glad there's no one next to me!

LadyClariceCannockMonty Wed 13-Feb-13 17:12:31

You're welcome! We've had it before, but it is rather – well – ring a ding ding grin.

Lottapianos Wed 13-Feb-13 17:21:44

Ring a ding ding - I love it! Very Leslie Phillips, fits perfectly

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 13-Feb-13 18:11:05

Don't forget that tonight is the last episode in ths series of Cabin Pressure sad

I do hope my suspicions are wrong........

AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!! WTF WAS THAT?! (Spoiler-free frustration about CP)

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 13-Feb-13 19:00:26

Noooooooo! Damn you John Finnemore!

<not really>

Holding out hope for a Christmas episode. Except that Christmas is more than 10 months away. AAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Wed 13-Feb-13 19:11:18

I'm glad my fears turned out to be wrong though <phew>

MrsAceRimmer Wed 13-Feb-13 19:36:30

LetUsPrey Thu 14-Feb-13 22:56:07

BC on my iPad - we're very happy together!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Fri 15-Feb-13 09:01:38

It is Prey grin

Congrats on the ipad - aren't they luffly? grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Fri 15-Feb-13 19:02:52

LetUsPrey Fri 15-Feb-13 23:23:05

Listened to it tonight with DS1. Absolutely brilliant (of course)!!! Had to keep pausing it I was laughing so much grin

Also, yum. A lot

LadyClariceCannockMonty Sat 16-Feb-13 11:17:39

How I wish I were her... (Except if that were my house, there would be about 80,000 toys strewn about, and the dressing gown would be decidedly rattier, but since I live in FantasyLand, Benedict wouldn't care...)

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 18-Feb-13 09:42:39

It's not working, Prey! What a tease grin

Had odd dream about Benedict in Sherlock mode last night. He was investigating a crime at a school and he and I were working together. No funny business but we linked arms a couple of times – I know, racy grin and there was flirting and hints that we might be getting together but had to not show it in front of the client.

It was nice. blush grin

Lottapianos Mon 18-Feb-13 09:49:05

Sounds lovely LadyClarice! Love the linking arms bit!

LadyClariceCannockMonty Mon 18-Feb-13 10:48:44

I know, so sexy, eh? hmm grin

Lottapianos Mon 18-Feb-13 12:21:36

I would be happy if I could link any of my limbs with any of his for just 30 seconds!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Mon 18-Feb-13 18:09:09

Had an interesting dream last night. Played semi-naked Twister with Matt Smith. There was also kissing. I woke up like this --> grin

Lottapianos Tue 19-Feb-13 13:35:26

Dear god girls, these links need to come with a health warning!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn Tue 19-Feb-13 21:23:43

Evolution of The Suit gif

It's awful, but I do love that one at the "Golden Nymph Awards" with the shades. He looks like a teenager wearing his dad's suit grin

LetUsPrey Tue 19-Feb-13 23:09:46

Just caught the tail end of Madagascar on the Eden+1 channel and then not bothered to turn over whilst I was having a quick Tumblr. Next programme starts. It's called South Pacific. I'm not paying much attention until the narrator starts to speak. It's only bloody BC! I can't stay up until midnight so I'm just going to have to record it grin

In the meantime, there's yum yum yum

Yes please

And a gif from Wreckers I love him in Wreckers

Off to bed now. Last night was semi-naked Twister with Matt Smith with additional kissing . Tonight I'm hoping for something similar with BC grin
