Hello lovelies!
Hope the title meets with everyone's approval.
I have just one thing to say at the moment, a propos of the John Finnemore thing in the last thread: 'pub kitten'? 'pub kitten'?!!? Just how cute does that sound?
Nooooo! We was robbed!
The bloody kid from Merlin? WTAF?!
Utterly shameful! No awards at all!
Though Martin Freeman's reaction to losing out to Downton Abbey is hilarious
Nothing?!
I could use a stiff drink. Or I'll just look at this for a little while...
Fantastic interview with BC from Shortlist Magazine.
I want frozen peas now.
Have you seen the quote circulating about his costume in Star Trek being so tight "you can almost see what religion I am"?
Only 3 and a half months to go!
I did see that. Wasn't that part of a red-carpet interview before the Golden Globes?
He's such a tease. He knows EXACTLY what will set perfectly grounded adults fangirling... And we can't get enough of it
Mmmmm. Tight costume. And swishy coat. So I was idly thinking, as one does... from those hideous lanky blonde photos, it looks like that role is going to be BC's least sexy one. The question is, which character would you MOST like to see him play? In terms of maximum phwoar factor? Can be actual fictional character, or character-type. <disclaimer: I haven't thought of an answer yet myself, but am enjoying thinking about it...
I'm going to be very predictable and say I'd like to see him play Dracula, or similar. Ever since he mentioned in an interview that he'd seen a script for a new Dracula film I've been thinking about it. A lot!
To be honest I've had a thing for vampires since discovering Buffy as a hormonal teenager (hmm, Spike) and the thought of BC nibbling on my neck is enough to put me over the edge
[faints]
Ooh definitely, Frankel. I'm a big Buffy fan too. I can just see BC in Spike's coat... So, vampire is definitely a yes.
Personally I'd like to see him in a period film, playing someone with a bit of swagger!
I can't wait for Star Trek though. I loved the first one even without BC. My only worry is whether I'll be able to restrain myself from squealing and making other inappropriate noises in front of dh in the cinema.
DH has already figured out my BC obsession interest. He keeps mocking me about wanting to see Star Trek
He's fine with it though because my Cumbersurfing means he gets all the latest on ST:ID and Hobbit news
Oh dh knows alright, but I try not to flaunt it too much! I think he is somehow offended that the object of my admiration is so unlike him physically and, to be fair, unlike the type I normally go for. He claims that the ones he fancies (I.e. Scarlett Johanssen) are not so dissimilar to me. Yeah right. Absolutely.
Hes on HIGNFY on Dave ja vu at 11pm! Its the episode he hosts. Thought you might like to know
Aww, missed it
It is on YouTube though
<faints>
Lets see if this old favourite doesn't flush you all out
Thanks, Frankel!
DH is out for the evening, boys are in bed, and now I'm sitting here trying to make sense of what he's saying at 0:26 -- the first album he bought. Can anyone help? All I'm hearing is "Now" and "24"...
The lip bite at 1:24 is killing me.
Yes the album is "Now 24". They are a series of compilation albums. This is it
Have been dying (over dramatic) with the dreaded Norovirus. Too poorly even for BC
Hope to be back in the land of the living in the next few days.
Oh poor you Prey
Hope you are on the mend.
Thanks, Frankel! But if that album is from 1993, that means he was 17 when he bought his first album? Jeezum, I bought my first one when I was, um, 8 or 9. (Best of Blondie, for what it's worth.)
I have seen those before, I think I might even have one of the Christmas ones in the basement somewhere...
Prey, I hope you feel better soon! That's a horrible thing to deal with! Hope you have someone to keep you supplied with a bucket and soft toilet paper. (Sorry, TMI, but those are the things I want when I've got a dodgy tummy.)
Hmm...another one of those Amazon recommendation e-mails just rolled in. What's of interest to me today (according to Amazon)?
- To The Ends Of The Earth (for 2.95)
- Third Star (22.99)
- Parade's End (32.99!! -- got such a better deal from the UK site)
- Fortysomething (14.99)
- Starter For Ten (5)
- Miss Marple Series 4 (15.98)
- Amazing Grace (4.99)
And I swear my recent searches were NOT BC-related. There must be a psychic connection. Or they're mining my other open tabs.
Speaking of which, there's this, this, and this bit of eye porn.
Oh, and here's the preview for the Cabin Pressure episode "Wokingham"....
Lady Clarice, did you get a chance to listen to Copenhagen before it disappeared from the player?
If not, here's a link... www.mediafire.com/?uplved5ke5cxc7x
