Last time I went was 25 years ago.

Need to accommodate advanced skiers and a complete beginner and all standards inbetween adults, 3 teenagers and small children so ideally ski schools/creches aswell.

Any ideas?

This if for next season.

Kitzbuehel is good because you've got the Red Devils ski school, that caters for all the ages you describe. Plus Kitzbuehel has every kind of slope. (I first skied here at the age of 2!) It also looks like a ski resort should, all Alpine and pretty. You can fly to Munich or Salzburg.

Saalbach Hinterglemm (ajoining villages, one ski area) is great. Have stayed in Hinterglemm, much quieter and better for families. A couple of hotels right beside the slopes, ski school & night time ski slope (including free tubing run) are here and here. I've stayed at the second one which was fantastic but pricey, also their kids club didn't open until 3pm. The local ski school is excellent.

i think you want somewhere quite big 9or at least acces to big ski area), to allow everyone a bit of something. Are you all one family? What will be the small children childcare arrangements?
If you're not in one family you might pick the date and the place eg: alped'huez 7th feb and let everyone book up their own variants.
trouble is big resorts tend to be more expensive. Ask the others if they have any suggestions/price limits.
If expensive is ok, I love verbier for the terrain variety and the teenagers will love the bars. The nursery is not too great though, so take your own nanny [posh emoticon].
If you are not filthy rich maybe mayrhoffen or Zell am Zee in austria?

I've been to Saalbach and it's got a lovely hotel there with a spa to die for, also a playroom and creche.

I think Les Gets is perfect. Its close to geneva and has some lovely easy slopes. It also have a lot of self catering properties if you want to organise it on your own. Nightlife is reasonable but not very very lively and lots of good restuarant in town and in the mountains.
Also really like the three valleys. If you are loaded stay in Meribel and if you are skint stay in St.Martin de Belleville or les menuires. If you are looking for self catering accomodation then ski-france.com is very good.
I organise a similar thing every year and it is quite stressful BTW. Worth it in the end though.
