Got a quote for next week (yay!)from Alpine Sports Warehouse which is much cheaper than the people recommended by my chalet hosts, I can't find any reviews of any of the hire shops online, so I thought I'd ask on here if anyone can help?

[envy[ (<-- jealous emoticon). We ski Portes du Soleil out of Les Gets most years and I use www.skimium.co.uk to arrange hire with an in resort shop before we get there. Always get brilliant skis/boots too. Don't know what they're like for Morzine, but thought it might be helpful for you in terms of price comparison.

Also, for the specific company, it might be worth asking on snowheads.com/ski-forum/ as they tend to be quite knowledgeable on such matters.

Have a brilliant time either way - wish I was going back, we had fresh powder every day when I was there in January.

We used Francois baud freeride which are based right at the bottom of the pleney lift. You can leave all your skis and boots etc there every night, meaning you don't have to carry all the gear backwards and forwards!

Doorstep Skis are good and come to your chalet to fit and collect the equipment.

We have used doorstep skis last two times out there. Used Action Sports prior t that, they were reasonable enough but really like doorstep skis service.

I've used doorstep skis 3 times now and they've always been great - came out to the chalet, good equipment and decent prices too. Would deffo use them again.

Doorstep ski's were fab, cheaper than anyone elses on my trip (of 55) and totally hassle free. I had a problem with my bindings and they met me at the bottom if the gondola to fix, would have come up onto the slopes had i needed them to but it was the end of the day and i was heading down anyway. Highly recommend.
