First time to this resort so I was just wondering if anyone else had and could tell me a bit more... favourite runs ?, best way up the mountain ? places to avoid ? Nice places to eat and drink (we are self catering again)

we are seasoned skiers so havent booked lessons this year, but 2 out of 3 of the children will be snowboarding (2nd season) so we may well be skiing separately as a family.

Anyone else heading out there next week Grin

Favourite run - if open, is red from Spielboden or through the trees down the Plattjen where you can dip off along a blue if it gets a bit too steep. Best way up the mountain is from whereever the queue is least which can vary. I think taking button to top of nursery slope and then Felskinn(iirc) up avoids worst but it really depends where you plan to get to. Bear in mind the trip down can take a while so allow plenty of time to meet the dc at the bottom. We like No.1 bar and Waldesruh but there is also a wooden fronted restaurant with a view down the gorge along the main street. Gletschergrotte worth the detour for on the mountain. very Envy

Ooh Thanks Lizs thats great to hear.

I think we have chatted before about Wengen. Which of the two do you prefer ? Where are you off to this year ? and is there somewhere you dont have any knowledge of Grin

Getting quite excited now but daunted by the amount of packing I have to do tomorrow !
