We're off to Portes Du Soleil on Saturday and we're all very excited - ds2 (4.5) has packed his thermals already!

Who's just back from their trip? Where did you go and how was it?

Lovely thanks!!! Over New Year - fab snow (best I remember for a number of years) and lovely sunny weather. 6 brilliant days. Les Orres (3 days), Reallon, Crevoux, St Veran - small but lovely.

Have a wonderful time. x

Thanks, the snow reports are still looking good.

I just wish I was a bit fitter!

We had a great time! Like poster above, the snow was good and the sun shone every day. We went to Morzine. Only downside is that it's very flat for us old boarders ;-)

Enjoy! I'm desperate to go again!

Have fun! I did a long weekend in Villars Switzerland last week- very much a beginner and it was a bit cloudy 2 days but I loved every minute!

We are just back from Overgurgl yesterday. We had two very good days, ie sunshine, one ok day and three of mist and constant snow. It took till our very last day which was beautiful to really appreciate the village and its charm. The hotel was perfect, the slopes were well groomed, the après ski in the village was nonexistent but we had a great time. The only problem we had was with people smoking in pubs and restaurants.

Just got home this evening!

We had the most fantastic week in the Portes du Soleil. Excellent snow and the weather was very kind to us.

We scraped into Geneva airport last Saturday by the skin of our teeth - last flight to land before they closed the runway for several hours - phew!

I really must get fitter for next year though - I cannot keep up with our ds1 (7.3) any more! He's loving jumps and weaving in and out of trees now and ds2 (4.8) isn't far behind Shock.

We must have been in the airport at the same time - our flight out got cancelled!
We went to Les Coches this year - that was amazing - all the same excellent Family Ski stuff, but with ski in ski out from the chalet -kids picked up from the decking in front of the Chalet - would recommend it if you fancy a change from Ardent.
My kids too are leaving me for dead Wink

Oh no - when were you able to fly out?

We met a couple a families whose flights had been turned away from Geneva and sent to Lyon instead. They ended up staying in the plane for more than 5 hours before taking off and finally landing in Geneva. They got to resort at 2am, we were the lucky ones and arrived at 7pm.

We kind of fancy a change from Ardent, but it's so easy and the kids ( there were 9 in the group this year) really seem to benefit from being familiar with the ski school, kids clubs etc. one year maybe!

Just got back from Champoluc yesterday - amazing weather and great skiing although I realise how unfit I am!

We are thinking of going to les coches with family ski next winter, but getting the snow train. Has anyone done that? Les coches seems like the ideal resort with young children but the long transfer from geneva sounds nightmarish.
