Ok, she got a lot of support - loads of it in fact - but, as is to be expected I suppose on an open forum, she also got people who thought she was a troll/unfit mother/liar. You know the kind of thing.

She'll probably get the support she needs in RL. Hope so.

I walked away from the thread very early on because as usual there were a great number of posters who have very perfect lives and have no idea of difficult it is to be in an abusive relationship. whether that abuse is aimed at you or your children. there are such massivly mixed and complex emotions.

The poor woman was just starting to realise and work through those feelings, but instead of being helped and supported through something that is bloody difficult she was hounded.

I didn't post on her thread but I felt that the replies were actually quite balanced....

from where I read to anyway - she was given support and lots of useful advice, as well as the less helpful posts.

I hope she and her DH follow it up and start to make the safety and welfare of their DC's top priority. I wish her all the best.
