Preview conversation actually creates the conversation. Has happened twice to me now. I will click on 'preview' when I've finished typing here to see if it does it again.

And I was going to put this in 'site tech stuff' but I thought I'd have a mooch through the threads there to see if it had already been mentioned and every time I click on a thread (the one about pagination for example), I just end up back on the topics page instead of looking at the thread.

IE7, Windows, PC if that helps.

Yup, pressed preview and here it is created.

I think before you changed the buttons to purple, they were the other way round. is that it, create is preview and preview is create?

Hi Show of Hands.

Are you still having this problem?

Well, I haven't started any threads recently so it definitely did it with the last 4 I created, the most recent one being this one.

I've just been back into the site tech topic and tried to click on the same thread I mentioned in my OP and same thing, straight back to topics page.

Ooh, yes, can see your prob with some of threads on Site tech stuff - BigTech is ing and fixing it now.

Would you mind testing your preview function by starting a thread somewhere and seeing if you can preview it without it creating the thread?

I started this thread

Clicked preview and it created. Hang on...

Started another one, clicking on 'create' first. It did create the thread so bang goes my theory of them being the wrong way round.

So, you're saying "create conversation" works but "preview conversation" doesn't?

Yes create is fine, just creates the thread as you'd expect. Preview also creates the thread. It does not preview.

I was just musing out loud that before the last round of changes (before the buttons were purple) I think create convo was on the left and preview on the right, just wondered if they'd been accidentally re-labelled. That's not the case though as create convo works.

Will get the Techs on the case for you.
