penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Having now got my biscuit can I now ask for......

(18 Posts)
A new acronym.

OOM as in Only On Mumsnet

I think you all know how this will be used. Mostly on Friday nights I suspect. wink

But just for the general weirdness that is, the essence of Mumsnet. Like the poster I just answered who wanted to know whether pig, cow or sheep liver was the best for baby led weaning biscuit [big bloody biscuit] grin
no way WMMC. You got an emoticon. I want one. A [boak] one.
and possible a cat bum face one.
Only in your mind, UD.

Party ring very innocent IMO. Oh, and IME!
A "party ring" sounds rude. OOM.
I'm a bit worried that it might have desiccated coconut on it though, as it looks a bit uneven round the edges.

I don't like coconut. Can we have one with chocolate on instead?

Or a party ring would be good.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?
I love the new biscuit. It's very jammy and textured.
I hate your biscuit.
all eyeless at MNHQ, Vulpisina <resists impulse to uncover mystery>

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]
For a no comment face, , type [biscuit]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
