Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Getting a strange message sometimes when trying to post

(52 Posts)
I'm typing the message in the box, then when I click post I get:

Norbert - by Friday, the roof should be completely finished - HOOOOOOORAY. The plan is to move in at the beginning of Feb, so maybe we could aim for a meet-up at mine, sometime around Easter? What do you think? Are you on facebook? There are loads of photos there? If you are, I'll cat you to get your e-mail address.

Helen - thanks for cracking the whip over BigTech. smile
i'm getting this as well for every post but only when i try and post from my blackberry (works fine from laptop)

my solution when i'm on blackberry is..

write message
copy it onto clipboard
click post
get strange message as above
paste my original message
click post

and hey presto, it works. its a bit annoying though, especially when i forget to copy text first!

Thanks Helen

Give Tech a soothing pat on the back and a big sloppy kiss and tell him how we appreciate his hard work grin
So sorry, folks - we haven't forgotten you.

BigTech is bashing his keyboard in frustration working on a fix for this.

Hope you can bear with us till then.

Wecome to an elite (if a little frustrated) club Littlefish

PS. have you moved in to your farmhouse yet or are you going to wait until you've got all modcons like a few more walls and maybe a roof wink
Just tried to add a message to another thread and it failed 5 times in a row. Finally, I previewed it first, and then posted it and it went through ok.
(but the above message went through ok, first time!)
It's been happening to me for the last few days, and has just happened again.
Sorry about this guys, I'll let BigTech know there are still probs.
Bet Lola can spell better than me. wink

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]
For a no comment face, , type [biscuit]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
