I'm typing the message in the box, then when I click post I get:

$message.Message
Oh dear, Norbert. That doesn't sound good.
Does it happen all the time - or just every now and then?

I'm trying to narrow it down and I think it keeps happening when I try and post on a thread I started ("Has anyone been to a Jamie Oliver party" one) but only if I haven't reset the Watch on it.
I keep getting the strange message until I go into threads I'm watching, Bump and Reset it , and then it will add my post IYSWIM
Arse. Its doing it on this one now -not sure if it will ever let me post this

Last message took about 5 attempts before it appeared without that message.

But that one appeared straight away

My Bump and Reset theory is wrong then so ignore that!
Having trouble again posting this. Try again...
Hmm, am a bit foxed by this, Norbert.
Am tempted to say "turn it off and turn it on again"
but, instead, I shall sensibly say we'll see what the Techs suggest in the morning.

lol at that advice
I'm not around this morning but I'll have a good MN session this afternoon (purely in the interest of helping you find out if its a continuing problem or not of course
) and get back to you

Well after a couple of hours "research" it seems to only happen if I try and post on threads I've started .
Sometimes its fine first time otherwise I have to cut and paste my post ( cut, then refresh thread or leave thread and come back, and then paste and try again. Sometimes takes a few attempts
)
Is it only me?

Yes, me too. I was trying to answer the thread 'does anyone like to put weird answers to threads sometimes' (or something like that).
It kept coming up like that. THought my answer was too weird!

I'm relieved that it isn't just me (although I wasn't hoping it would happen to someone else IYSWIM, I'm not that mean!) -I was starting to worry that it was a virus or something wrong with my laptop
Have you worked out when its happening to you or how to get round it?
I';ve had it a few times, it's the same as the message you get when the thread you're on/watching is deleted sometimes.
like placeholders arent set
I'm having this two - have tried to post 5 times on a thread I started

I'm in a bit of a tired, eyes-swimming blur this evening, so I misread this thread title as,
Getting a strange massage sometimes when trying to post...
<Sorry, that doesn't really help, does it?>
I got that too Norbert.
Found that if I previewed the message then posted, it worked.
Fine today

I get that a lot, haven';t noticed which threads it normally happens on, I normally just press back and it fixes itself.
So are you all only getting the problem on threads you've started?
