MNHQ would it be possible to have a temporary 'sale' section in order to raise funds for Trinity?

Alot of people, myself included, would love to make a donation but have not got the means to at this time,

Can I voice a little bit of an idea?
I have, as do many other I suspect!, loads of stuff around the house, childrens clothes, books, toys, DVDs etc ... do you think we could do something on the 'sale board' in order to raise money for TR?

Or home made bits people could sell?

Perhaps MN could just add a tempory section and everything sold on there the proceeds (minus the postage costs) go directly into Lewis' paypal fund?

I understand the logistics of it may be a bit difficult, I know there is usually a fee to pay to sell but under the circumstances could a little seperate board where all proceeds go to Lewis to pass onto Trinity be made?

This is just an idea I had as Im sure alot of mumsnetters would be happy to get rid of some of their clutter whilst raising money for such a worthy cause?

And also it would be good for buyer who can get some nice things cheaply whilst doing something small, yet positive during this awful time for Trinity and her family?

And I know alot of mumsnetters don't usually use the forsale boards.

Its just an idea that I run past Lewis and am open to any sugeestions on it?!

But I'm afraid I don't know how practical - or even possible - it would be.

And, as it's a Bank Holiday weekend, I'm afraid we probably won't be able to get back to you about it till we're all back in the Towers on Tuesday.

Would second this suggestion, definitely. I would love to make a donation to TR, but sadly am unable to at this time. A sale section seems like a great idea.

MNHQ - please find a way to make this possible.

I don't see that it needs to be that hard to be honest.

Post what you have for sale and the fact that the money given is to go to TR and her children.

Once someone has said they definitely want it they are given LF address to pay and the buyer can send their address to the seller off the board.

Keep it all on one thread and post when it is sold or MNHQ could take the post off.

A new topic for a time would probably do where we can post our bits for sale make it a sticky one or something.
