Help - we still need maternity cover fo mumsnet's competitions manager

Hi all

Our wonderful competitions manager Champs is due to give birth pretty soon and will need to hand over to someone while she is on maternity leave. This could be just for a few months, or it could develop into a joint role as the competitions expand.

It's worth saying at this stage that the job is purely voluntary (though you are still allowed to enter competitions as mumsnet HQ choose the winners!) Here's the spec:

We get quite a lot of companies approaching us to run a competition. Between us we sound them out to make sure they're suitable and then Champs contacts them and arranges prizes and dates.

She chases them for copy and pics and makes a dummy page as a word doc, which we then make into the competition page.

She liases with people on Talk who have competition queries and is the contact for the company hosting the competition if they have queries.

We pick the winners and send their emails to Champs who sends out the congratulations emails, collects addresses and sends these on to the
competition organiser. She chases up any lost prizes.

She is also looking at setting up competitions with companies who haven't approached us but who mumsnet members would like to win prizes from!

She manages the competition schedule and keeps it updated.

It would be great to have a handover period when Champs would be able to pass on stuff that's pending.

If anyone thinks they might be interested, please email [email protected] with a contact telephone number.

Thanks in advance
the mumsnet team
