Tip of the day

Never ask a child IF they need the loo... moodlum

Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

Done the survey.

If I win the prize it will be a right bargain for you guys though as I am only about an hour or so from Villars, you can save the price of the plane tickets.
Maybe you'll realise there are lots of big families and offer suitable prizes! If I won (ha ha) I'd have to leave my two older children home alone!

dizzydixies - some people are just double checking their survey is in and I am checking - you are in, thanks.

When you finish the survey it just directs you to the home page

Ann, MNHQ
I think I did mine but I didn't check, was there a way of checking [pillock emoticon]

FluffyBunnyGoneBad -you're in!
Lenin grad, i think you posted on a feedback thread, and yes we saw your comments, duly noted
done. grin at'go on you want to' next to the 'Mumsnet's the best parenting website ever on the whole world wide web' answer.
Has mine been sent? I (accidently) clicked on the survey again and it came up, ready to fill in. I have only filled it in once though. Promise!

I think I'm going mad. I posted on here the other day - commented about question 13 and civil partnerships. I posted at least three times. Did anyone see those posts?

MNHQ - can you see I filled in the survey?
~~ complete ~~ gosh my spelling is bad this morning grin
So if only 54 mumsnetters complete the survey, then men will currently make up 50% of mumsnetters. That is always a problem with surveys... the results are dependent on who actually completest the survey.
Oh I see blush Poor comprehension skills, sorry...
Add message | Report | Contact poster By Sat 13-Jun-09 10:00:19
AnnMumsnet said it up there ^
How can you tell that, NannyNick? Are the results so far up somewhere?
done
27 men so far... much higher than I imagined. Maybe some women are pretending to be men grin
Will we see the results? They should be pretty interesting...
Add message | Report | Contact poster By Fri 12-Jun-09 19:53:42
Done.
Oh and I would be happy with anyone of the prizes as I too never win a danm thing. grin
Done, gosh I do enjoy surveys. I with you woodenchair and answered 30mins-1hr per visit. However, I did say I visited several times a day so that probably evened it out blush grin
Add message | Report | Contact poster By Fri 12-Jun-09 19:14:44
I've done it ,but I never win anything. Will probably faint if i do grin
Add message | Report | Contact poster By Fri 12-Jun-09 18:53:36
Done, although I said that each visit was only 30 mins to 1 hour long, I may be slightly deluded at that thinking that's true!
Add message | Report | Contact poster By (MNHQ) Fri 12-Jun-09 18:20:27
nannynick, you are one of 27 so far!

the plan is to publish some of the results on the site once it's all analysed and charted
We could have a competition to guess the number of men who have answered the survey... I guess 3.
Could you publish Pie Charts perhaps for answers to the questions.

If I win ANYTHING I'll eat my hat
I am shocked at how long I am on MN for.

I am quite embarrassed, but it does explain my untidy house.blush

done.

Can I just add though, that because of work and family commitments, I'm hardly ever here nowadays, but I used to be here all the time.

I was very sad when I had to tick the "I'm on mumsnet once or twice a week" box and just as sad when I had to tick the "15 - 20 minutes per visit" box.
Bugger if only I had done it yesterday, would have been a differnt age bracket sad

Add message | Report | Contact poster By Thu 11-Jun-09 23:58:47
I participated, but I guess T&C says that you have to live in the uk to win a prize....
AnnMumsnet: Thanks for checking for me. grin

I have been here 9 years & never won anything sad
all done
I thought it was very interesting that you didn't have the BNP as one of your options on the political party question!
Done <wipes brow> grin

I have never won anything on mn yet so here's hoping (a joggler would be lovely but so would the holiday) winkgrin
Thankyou Annmumsnet
<fingers tightly crossed it's me this time cos after 5 yrs I've only won something once and then had to give it back as I didn't need a years supply of nappies>
<hopes Ann has noticed my plea and can fix the survey>
Done.
Shortish???
I've entered. I think it is about time (in 6 years!) that I won something. The joggler please!

Yeah the field above it Effie but fear ye not. If you are the winner I know MN can look it up on their enormous database of naughty mummies grin
All done! Would love to win something...holiday or Joggler please! When do we find out!? smile
oops was there a field for usual poster name? I just bunged in my email blush
Oy MNHQ You've done that thing again where the field above the one for email isn't labelled 'usual poster name' hmm

wink
oooh, was that the age that was amended. I clicked on 40-45 I'm sure.....as I'm 40. If you've changed it, does that mean I'm now in the 41-45 range? Can you change it for me? or is it not that important in the grand scheme of things....
Add message | Report | Contact poster By Thu 11-Jun-09 20:31:12
Done, but please let psycho have the holiday if you can fix -it-- find it in your beautiful MN hearts.
done, but had to have a look at the O2 joggler.....I thought it was a new buggy blush

of course I'll have to decide which of my children to leave behind when should I win the holiday!

Aaarrggghhh - just completed it and it opened up the home page - usually you get a very nice 'thank you' message but I didn't get one - has it gone through?! smile

ingles2+lionstar you're both in !

at the end of the survey you click on 'click here to complete the survey' and it redirects you to mumsnet.com - am guessing some issues as so many of you are so kindly doing it grin

i've amended the code 40-45 too, thanks (tis now 41-45 (grumbles about the number of people at MNHQ who've checked it and didn't spot it), we like to keep you on your toes!
all ticked smile
Aaargh, MNHQ can you check mine too please because the screen hung when I clicked the Submit button and I had to crash the browser.

Thanks!

MN went down just after I had clicked the complete button
can you check if it registered at all?
MNHQI have completed the survey but can you please check it has gone through because it took an age and them came up with the end page again. (if it did go through it may have gone more than once blush due to me clicking like a mad woman to be extra sure grin )

Suggestions: A bit late but (and admittedly affected by FaceBook) what about computer games for the seriously bored SAHMs, e.g. Trolly Dash or Hunt the Husband or Hide the Kids or Cartoon Me (into Baywatch figure or yore).

Hi

The Mumsnet census 2009 is now open. From time to time it's useful for us to build a profile of the folks who use Mumsnet, to help us attract the most appropriate advertisers and sponsors. So please, please take a few minutes to fill in this short(ish!) survey and tell us all about you and how you use Mumsnet. Just so you know there are about 40 [very interesting grin] questions. Everyone who takes part in the census will be entered into a prize draw to win a fab family holiday to Villars Gryon in Switzerland, a Merlin family pass worth £400 or an 02 Joggler

Just in case you've got this far without clicking through, you can take the census here and find out about the fab prizes here

The census is open to all Mumsnetters

Thanks and good luck

MNHQ

If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
