What is all this Bump Watch about then tech?

On Threads I'm Watching, Reset Watch has been changed to Bump Watch. I think it has changed today.

I know it is a tiny thing that does not really matter but I was wondering why it has been changed, it is not even like it makes any sense really...

We changed it to 'Bump' because we thought it explained what it did (moved that thread to the top of your list) better than 'Reset'.

Um - I saw it, and didn't realise it was Reset renamed - thought it might actually bump the thread. (Hadn't tested it just in case.)

Still seems odd to me, I mean I know it bumps to the top of the list but its main function is to reset the watch to the last post isn't it?

How about "Reset to last post and bump to the top of your watched list" ? Too wordy?

(Or stop it bumping which seems pointless thing to do to me anyway...)

You're right about that "if it ain't broke thing". I was reminding myself the very same thing this morning. 'Tis all my fault, I couldn't work out what reset was (I didn't realise it set it to the last post - does it really do that?) so I tinkered. Why? I'll get me coat.

No, seriously, it resets to the last post and bumps to the top of the watch list, I never quite understood why it bumped as that seemed to have little purpose to me, but I guessed others may like it! To me, the reset to last post is the main thing it does so Bump Thread made less sense than Reset Thread but others may think differently!
