Euro symbol

Is it possible to use a euro symbol on mumsnet?

On my keyboard its Alt Gr + 4 (ie theres a $ on top of the 4 and a euro symbol to the right of it). On mumsnet its appears as a euro in the message box, but appears as a ? on the thread.

I don't think it is possible. I always write EU.

I always think E or EU or Euro looks kinda clumsy or something.
Plus on several threads I've forgotten that they don't work on MN, and the ? looks a bit stupid in the middle of my posts, especially when I've used several in the one post.

I have a real live euro keyboard (bought in Switzerland) and the euro symbol does not work. Honest.
