It's because yo know too much

You are supposed to pretend to be techno phobes like the rest of us - any time you slip up and post 'real' stuff it gets deleted

<cries in corner>

I posted about a couple of ads in Small Business Ads, they don't have proper linked titles, just thread.Topicoptname/thread.ThreadUrl so they can't be accessed? One of them belongs to a friend of mine, that's how I noticed. I posted and within SECONDS it was deleted!

I'm wondering if it was because I posted the full link text (have edited the above) and the system thought it was an attack?

Carm - you may be right! <cough> pot kettle <cough>

Slur - yes thank you, was 108 pages in the end and I had to redo the whole thing in InDesign! but it's at the printers now.

I wasn't trying to be cryptic with this thread, I just posted that another thread wasn't linking properly cos its title was wonky.

It is an MN intervention. We have had to put a cap on the amount of threads you post LL, you are out of control and we are all very worried.

Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By PsychoAxeMurdererMum on Tue 07-Oct-08 11:01:16

That's why.
All innocuous threads are being wiped in order to make way for troll threads.

It was completely innocuous! <confused>

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
