That thread I was on yesterday: it doesnt show up in my recent threads on my profile either. What has happened to it?

Phew! And thank you for dealing with it so quickly.

(Not that I am ashamed of my name choices, or particularly secretive about them, but I did not know how other people would feel about their details being displayed).

DumbledoresGirl, apologies that was a mistake. It's been fixed now - they've gone.

Oh no, just noticed something else now! If you look at people's profiles, you can see the private labels they gave their pictures!

I think there is an indexing problem. For example - I am on this thread twice but it only shows once on the search results.

Incidentally, have you seen the v clever changes to the thread naming convention? ie this thread is called "http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/618764-what-has-happened-to-quot-threads-i-am-on" now

Well, my problem pre-dates this morning's tinkering, but maybe that was why there was a need to tinker?

Well I know there was another troll scandal last night. I was reading the thread in which the scandal was being discussed, but the thread where the troll had been revealed was already deleted by then.

Actually, come to think of it, the thread I was on was also not showing on my threads then either.

All so confusing.

Mine is a bit funny today too, some threads are missing and some say no new messages but when I click there's actually loads.

Something to do with the tinkering this morning perhaps?

oh I heard a whisper things were weird around here last night so I came for a nosey but couldn't find anything so maybe it was deleted?

I've always thought a 'threads started by' would be a great search criteria

I was on a thread yesterday. I can't for the life of me remember what it was about blush oh yes, I have remembered now, a thread started by Athene something or another asking if she was unreasonable to expect her dp to take part in school events.

Anyway, I suppose maybe it all went controversial after I left the thread and had to be deleted, but it was perfectly calm when I left it, yet it does not show up in threads I am on.

Did something happen to that thread, or has something happened to my threads I am on page?

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
