We're also looking for your best (and worst) book recommendations for our all new annual Mumsnet book awards.
From the best book ever to the worst book of the year, see Best for all the shiny new categories.

Can you do the link again, please, Abby.

"Not Found

The requested URL /ReviewsMumsnet was not found on this server." was what I got when I clicked on it

blimey do people on here actually have time to read books the very year in which they are published?

Report
cariboo · 21/05/2008 07:57

And if so, do they actually have the time & enough wits about them to critique it, other than to give it a star rating?

HONESTLY on the threads about "How many books have you read this year?" people say things like "Oh god darling I've read 156 since February, WTF do you do with YOUR time?" and yet I don't see much evidence of that HMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmm? Too much Mumsnetting clearly....

I've tried to vote for best book of the year and best book ever, but they haven't appeared on the lists. And my nominations really are the best.

Toddler preference to one parent

My DS is 18 months old and I am finding it difficult to see that he prefers the company of my DH when he is upset. I feel like the spare as there is nothing I can do to console him and if I pick him up he gets more upset still and wants to run to daddy.
I feel childish having these feelings but I suppose that I need to acknowledge them if I want to know how to deal with them. I would like to hear from someone else's experience on this matter and how they manage to overcome feelings of being left out. My DH keeps saying that I should not link my emotions to what DS does or does not, that I will be very upset all my life. I know he is right but...any way any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks
