Hi all, it's been suggested to us - and we think it's a really good idea - to set up a topic within the mind, body and soul umbrella to cover all aspects of depression. This will include PMT/PND/bi-polar etc etc. We're a bit unsure what to call the thread and were wondering whether you guys can give us some suggestions. Will let you know once it's up and running.

Don't really have any experience as such, but I understand what Beetroot is saying. Surely if someone is depressed one of the hardest things to do is admit it to yourself, do something about it, and most of all admitting to someone else.
By isolating issues on a seperate thread, couldn't this be seen as labelling?

Those posting ont he depression threads ahve asked for it i think. They seem quite pleased at the idea, the bits I have seen.

How about the Black Dog - which is what I believe Winston Churchill called it (he suffered from depression)

On another parenting site (which I abandoned many moons ago) they have a section called "Feeling Down" which just about covers everything. How would you feel about pinching that?

I think it has to be something more obvious than "Black Dog", tbh - it has to be completely clear where and what the topic is.
