Mumsnet Subscriptions

Sorry if this has been done before, I switched to alphabetical and checked M and S.
I am HAPPY to pay to subscribe to MN and did so when I first joined. I have no idea now when that was, if I ever renewed etc. I'd like to be able to find out easily when I last paid as I'm happy to pay again, I just can't find out when I last did it. Can we have a list or an entry on our registration page?

I got a message from them as soon as my first year had expired, but I guess you have to be down as receiving emails from them for that to happen/ (I paid immediately, natch )

Hi Davros

You will certainly get a gentle reminder email telling you when your year is up, so don't worry too much. I'm not sure how complex it would be to have a list or entry on registration page - I will ask tech but I know he's pretty snowed at the mo.

Thanks for thinking about it though - we really really appreciate the fact that you guys subscribe to mumsnet - as well as being finacially helpful it's just enormously encouraging!

Hi earlybird

So sorry about this. Tech is the only one who can input cheques onto the system and as most of you know tech has a full-time job on top of mumsnet (and we're a v demanding bunch!)

So big apologies - it's not that we don't appreciate you and your generosity - we just need to change our system!

I still can't get emails sent to me, no matter how often I check that my settings are such that I'm supposed to be able to :(

I'll check why this is with tech - sorry you're having trouble

Hi GeorginaA,

For some reason, your registration is set to allow emails, but all three are types of email are turned off. I'll turn them back on.

Just fyi, you can check if you are signed "on" or "off" any mumsnet email by going to
www.mumsnet.com/s/mp.Smp

the way it works is - if you have turned off all email on your profile, we never send you any. If you have not turned off all mail, we check whether you've turned off any individual mails on the page above and block those if appropriate. We should put all these on one page really - we will soon, honest. We should also have a separate tick box for whether you want other people to be able to contact your through "contact another talker".....

Hi Earlybird,
I'll check why you are not on the list and add you to it. If you paid by cheque it might be that I haven't updated the "manual" list for a while (the credit card payments go on automatically). Sorry about that. I'll make sure you are on there by the end of tonight.

Regards,
Tech

Thanks tech. I did pay by cheque rather than credit card.

Thanks, I knew there was a list but it doesn't tell you anything! Don't think I'm on it though its not alpha and a bit hard on the eyes. I did get an email but I think it was too gentle! Something like, "why not subscribe blah blah" so I thought it was a general one, it did prompt me to think about writing this thread though so it did its job! I think this means that I am due to re-subscribe so will get on to it soon.

I paid by card but wasn't on the subs page and didn't know why but assumed it had been over a year (might have been) so paid up. Would have paid sooner if I'd have been asked - just to let you know, maybe you should be nudging us all a bit sooner. Or maybe you did and I didn't notice what with the new babe and all, it's possible
