I just wondered.

do you deal with each one or do you get a warning or booted out?

I think they see if they agree that it should be deleted and
if yes: delete post and give poster a telling off or more serious consequences if needed

if no: then don't delete it and do nothing.

AFAIK the send the one who reported it an automatic response that they are looking into it.

Gawd - you pop off to Aldi and it all kicks off!

Report
Boco · 28/03/2007 16:14

Is it possible to get banned? Can you be too rude on mn?

When i first started reading mn i was a bit at some of the responses people got, but custy and twiggs were totally reasonable, does mn ever tell the reporter to get a grip?

There should be a newbie etiquette page - its a minefield out there!

I like custy's posts

hope she doen't get banned!

I don't think MN would ban Custy for calling someone 'daft'.
After all, it's not a really bad word like 'naughty'.

Report
collision · 28/03/2007 16:20

Lots of people have been banned IIRC!

We should do a list!!

Daft is pretty affectionate compared to some of the insults. I'd be happy with daft.

Oh whhhhhhhy do we have to have multiple threads about one incident! . It just makes other people revisit a thread that should just be left to go gently to sleeeeep....

bundle · 28/03/2007 16:22

daft is fine, imo, especially if pronounced with short, northern-a

I always thought people got sent to the Naughty Step.

'Daft' seems quite affectionate to me.

I'm thinking of Compo on Last of the Summer Wine going 'Eee, tha daft 'airy pillock.'

Oh yes - we could have a 'Time Out' thread. You're only allowed to post on that one thread 'til you've calmed down a bit.
