Making my posts show as a colour?

I peeked at a thread my friend had posted on her computer and her posts showed up as a colour. I found it so much easier but can't work out howto do it.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?!

Click the little down arrow next to Talk, then "Customise". It's one of the options in there.
