Hi

Just after a bit of advice please.

My daughter has to go for an operation in January. It is quite a big operation, a rod put up her spine as she has Scoliosis. She also has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair full time. Other issues too but not go into all that!

My question is am I entitled to paid or unpaid leave? I could take off sick and get full pay but scared of this being used against me later.

I have been in my job a long time, work oart time, 20 hrs a week. Have struggled this long as need the money to pay the bills etc. Also keeps me from going insane!!

Has anyone else been in a similar situation where they need time off for dependants but also need the money?
