I can't post???

I've tried commenting on a couple threads and it's just not letting me post, no error message or anything, absolutely nothing happens when I press post.

Also, I've tried clicking on the smileys and they're not appearing either. An error 500 message comes up when I preview/create a post but it does eventually preview/create.

I'm on the mobile site, Safari browser in case this helps

There's been an app problem over the last few days - error 500 - which prevented people from commenting. They could only start threads.

Tech fixed that for most users but someone else continued to have it earlier and sorted their problem by updating their device and properly switching it off etc etc - you'll see the thread a bit further down.

I know that you're on the mobile site and on Safari but could you maybe try that? Eg Check that your device is up to date, clear out the Safari cache and restart it properly?

Well done. It feels as if there's still some sort of spare capacity issue with accessing MN - for some posters - but you would need a techy person to comment on that one. I'm not, sadly.
