I will just say to MNHQ I do hope you consider my last reports and don't just say it's good I educated in the thread. Or I will cry. Well be despondent. In case it's lost at end of last thread.

Just the usual. I objected to someone with ASD being called selfish. Was then told I only see one side and "I guess the needs of the people without ASD don't count" etc etc. The usual

Hello
Just to let you know - with all the extra Brexit threads we still have a huge inbox, so sorry if we don't get back as quickly as we'd like.
We do have lots of us about this morning though.

Was about to say the same thing, PresidentO, Smile

Also wanted to give a quick progress report to say we've mailed a number of posters whose comments on the LTB thread had been reported for being disablist (intentionally or unintentionally).

We've also received a couple of mails already in response to our post on that thread from people who've reconsidered their comments and realised that they may have come across the wrong way.

It's small progress, but a step in the right direction and we're going to try to keep posting on threads, keep sending mails out, and keep trying to hammer the message home that we won't tolerate disablist posts on Mumsnet.

Thanks for bearing with us. Flowers

THank you both, for the action you've taken and for keeping us informed.

Marking place.

I want it noted that posters without disabilities (their own or their children's) are also on board. This isn't just a matter for those who live it every day.

Clumsy use of "disabilities", sorry. I do want to use the right terminology but I'm ignorant of the technical differences between SEN, LDs, disabilities and other?

Samcro · 26/06/2016 11:41

I didn't post on the last thread but have been following it, such an important issue.

I would say that "disabilities" is a reasonable catch all term for various areas of umm, disablement?
