Me too, on Android with Firefox. I've forever got the warning about name having to not be in use, but in the past it's worked anyway - not today.

This happened to me when I was trying to name change on mobile- worked fine on laptop, give that a try?

I just tried to NC to a name I used previously for one particular webchat and the site won't let me. I'm on desktop, Windows 7 and Firefox.

Oh, pressed post too soon. All I got was a blank page too. I only did it as an experiment for this thread.

Any response from Tech? Current state for me seems to be that it doesn't work with Firefox, either under Android or under Windows 10, but it does work with Microsoft's (hideous) Edge browser under Windows 10. (In case that's helpfuil to anyone else with the same problem!)

Right - tech have said they need screenshots (if possible) of any error messages you get when you try to change your nickname because they weren't actually able to replicate the issue from their end.

I'm having this issue, both on Chrome in Windows 10 and Chrome on Android. I don't get any error message, just a blank page when I submit the changes.

Same here, no error message, just a completely blank page where there should be a "changes successfully changed" message or similar. Firefox on Android.

Any update? I use Firefox with Windows 10. I didn't get an error message it just hung at a blank page.

I just tried my regular name change, click on 'save changes' and it goes to a blank screen.

I'm using chrome and cannot name change. I've just seen a thread where someone has name changed to post, so I've dug out my old Wlndows 7 laptop and have managed it first time. How strange.

In case it helps people in the meantime (or even helps tech sort it out) can we see if it's systematically particular operating system browser combinations that do/don't work? For me, Windows 10 with Edge does work. W10 with Firefox, and Android with Firefox, does not. Can go into version details if there are people out there with different experiences of those combinations? If it is failing for everyone with Ff and W10/Android it's surprising Tech can't get to the bottom of it!
