using an iPad. When I click on a new thread MN shuts down and boots me out, so I go back to the iPad main screen. Other websites are working ok. What's happening? V frustrating!

Anyone else?

Has happened to me a couple of times today but thought it was me!

Never had a problem before though, so hopefully just a glitch.

My ipad2 is still crashing all the time with munsnet only. Have safari. Anyone else still experiencing this?

Afternoon all. Not great news we're afraid, but just to keep you all updated, Tech are pretty sure this is a bug in Safari iOS rather than a bug with Mumsnet. They are continuing to investigate to see if there's anything that can be done, but it is something that's happening on other websites, too. We will update again if there is any further news. Apologies again for any inconvenience - we know it's really annoying.

Thanks for the update. I tried using Chrome and had the same issue.

Same problem here, ipad and safari.

Showing complete lack of technical knowledge, don't see how it's a problem with safari when it has only just started happening over the last week or two and I have been using this combination for a lot longer than that. I'm not aware of any updating going on at my end. What has been changed recently?

LeopardLamp · 23/03/2015 13:49

I downloaded another browser, Dolphin and it's happening with that too.

Yup, definitely not just safari!!

Still keeps crashing me out. I'm on an iPad 2, Safari. Never been an issue until this past week. What changed? I'm giving up on MN for now as it's too exasperating...

Hello everyone - we are really really sorry this is still happening.

Tech have suggested upgrading your browser (e.g. Safari/Chrome, not your iOS), which may help.

If not, they are still looking into the issue so will hopefully have an update soon.

Thanks so much for your patience Cake

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I was looking for solutions to why I can't use mumsnet on my iPad with Safari. Every time I try to load a page it crashes and closes. I don't have this problem with any other site. It has done this with mumsnet fir ages but has got worse and worse.

I only mn on the iPad so I'm getting annoyed with not being able to get on and I'm missing all the bargains on the Christmas thread!

Hi mashpot - there is an ongoing issue with Safari which we, unfortunately, can't help with.

Tech have suggested making sure your iOS and browser are up to date, and perhaps check the Apple site for more information on the error.

It happens to me too but only with MN and not other sites on my iPad and my iPad mini (both updated to the latest iOS) It's irritating.
