or a one rule thread.
the amount of CE threads is getting daft.
I will get flamed, but why so many ??

I think that whenever there is a topic that has an extremely high level of interest, it would be useful to gather all threads together. After all, that's what is being done by having all the sections, isn't it? An attempt to get similar discussions together in one place for ease of reference.

I agree. Merge into one thread or something, as they've done with hot news stories before.

What's CE?

I wonder if I'm on them, these annoying threads?

Ched Evans

Oh Blush thanks Nydj

I was trying to think of a concept or an abstract, that was CE.

Really OP, is a load of people expressing their outrage about this, something that bothers you so much?

Oh ok. I haven't seen many threads so I guess i didn't realise it (the no of them) was an issue.

MNHQ have said 'no' before when asked to merge threads (I've seen it in other forums I haunt, but never here).

I'd leave CE threads where they are. If it's going to run for months, then a topic (so people, who aren't fans can hide it) has been tried - like the Royal Family - but they turn to tumbleweed, MNHQ don't always move threads anyhow and posters don't like even the mildest suggestion of 'use the topic'.

I would like a topic so I could hide it. Or a klaxon if anyone actually says anything new on a thread about CE.

I did an AS yesterday just with CE in the title and it brought up 35 threads.

At one point last night it looked like every other thread in Active was about CE.

actually mn hq/tech, what would be great would be if you could implement a filter system, so a poster could have an option to filter out all threads which contain certain words. So type in ched evans into your filter box and bingo, they're all gone.

outrage??
of course people are angry about him, but how many threads do you need?

Well, it never works with Christmas so I don't hold out much hope it would work for any other bunch of threads on a theme.

i all for this, sick of seeing them everywhere.

Report
WannaBe · 09/01/2015 19:38

and reality is that people are so sick of seeing them that they won't click on them any more and then it will be left to a minority to talk about.
